    Well...
I've never seen a Rogue/Cleric Hybrid in game...
    The problem of making Rogue/Cleric Hybrids is that they are based on Different attributes;
While a rogue is based on Dex , Int (for multiclassers(because it gives more skillpoints)) and rarely Strength; a Cleric is based on Wis and occasionaly Cha, and this would make extremely difficult to hybridise them unless you are following very specific Builds of each.
Rogues and Clerics do not share any atributes, and since A cleric is not a very skillful class, the only way to invest on the 4 main rogue skills would be wasting an astronomic amount of ability points on Int.
Mixing a cleric with a rogue is like mixing Water with vegetable Oil, they are not compatible.
Rogue multiclassers ( that use their skills) are almost always Bards, Wizards , Rangers and rarely Barbs; because those classes have plenty of skillpoints.
I am not saying that a rogue/Cleric hybrid is impossible, I am just telling you that its not possible to effectively use rogue skills while getting 4 skillpoints p/ lvl and still be a cleric, it is just not possible.
Apathy is death, You can't be truly neutral, you have to make a choice.

of course you can always pump 10 points into intelligence, but this would not be a very intelligent choice...
    edit:
Okay...this might not be as bad as I imagined, I am working on an example build for you....

alright was hoping it was possible but i see ur points thnx !

edit: ok just saw ur edit so thanks. We dont care if we cant open everything it doesnt have to be a perfect rge, its just since we mostly play as a duo, it would be nice to sometimes get to those locked areas or chests. I have a tank build and my wife hangs back a little more, heals and uses spells occasionally.

So there are actually alot of these rogue cleric builds if you search hard enough. Doing a 28 will be kind of tough but still viable. Starting stats should be 8 13 13 13 17 8 go human. 8 feats ,nimble fingers (can be switched out later if desired), toughness, mental toughness, improved mental toughness, maximize, quicken, extend, empower healing. take rogue level first and hold out as long as possible to take the second level of rogue, level 12 would be target incase you ever get a +3 int tome. You also wont miss out much if you even go with 3 levels of rogue . At least take a +1 int tome at level 3 to give you five skill points to spend per cleric level, the skills you want will all be double points. You can also do okay if you cap your skills at 20 ranks to further spread the skill points around. Raise wisdom each 4th level because being a cleric is more important than being a rogue. .

Are you aware that a cleric rogue hybrid on sarlona was the first to show screen shots of trap boxes in von 5 epic before pure class rogues...

Well... I think a Cleric/Rogue Hybrid would use something like this:
    Code:

Yeah...I have no idea how to play a cleric, so I just used my personal experience,
Of course it your build would not be like this, but it would be very close.
You said your wife used spells...well... what kind of spells are those? because if she is looking for a more caster cleric thingy then we could remove some points from str and put them into cha or wis, depending on her playstyle...
Of course Drow is not the Ideal to do this, a 32 point High Elf would do it much better than Mary Poppins...but since you said you dont have 32 point builds unlocked, I tought it would be better to make a drow.
Also, Of course this needs some revision, it is not very platable, the leveling progress is also not ideal, but it should work...
In my opinion, a FvS should be the ideal for you, since you said she is a caster.
Of course it would be great to have 6 rogue instead of four , because then you would get the prestige enchancements, but then you would be a worse healer...
if she was 6 rogue 14 FvS/Cleric she would be a perfectly fine rogue, but the strategy would change a lot depending on what prestige you pick.
If she picked acrobat, for instance, she would have some capability with staffs, which get double bonus from str and also are capable of dealing glancing blows, however, it would require some feats to be effective, and maybe also a race change...
Well...Conclusion: is it possible? Yes, but it requires a lot of planning, and as with most supportive casters, it would be a little boring...

Cleric/Rogue builds work well but using a 28 point build will make it tough.

You want to max your wisdom and intelligence out. Rest look con first then strength, charisma and dex as low priority. Right now I am running a drow 17 cleric/2 monk/1 rogue build and works great.

For a 28 point build you might want to go with a Dwarf for the bonus to con:

    str: 8
    dex: 8
    con: 12
    int: 16
    wis: 18
    chr: 6

Go rogue at level 1 and then cleric up to 10 and then rogue at level 11. That way you will have raise dead and then can cap out your rogue skills.

Impaqt has a Rogue/Cleric build that has been continually updated
Here is version 2.0 and 3.0

    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=157117

    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=228237

For true flexibility, it helps to have 32 point build with some +2 tomes (Wis and Int really help)

I have played a version of this currently up to level 16.

One thing to be careful about is what level of quest and difficulty you choose, since you'll be a level or two behind on spells

You can hybrid them pretty well, since it are 2 classes that can be made to be dependent each on one stat only for itself
This is my build, I played it a few levels, it was very fun.
    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=230165

As with every multiclass you give something up to get something else. This build gives up the melee capabilities some cleric builds have for evasion and trapmonkey abilities. IMHO its a good build for up to the cap.

IMHO human is with distance the best race to go. Since you get more skills per level which can reduce your int by 2 compared to any other race, which is a lot of build points if you want e.g. 18 on a non human. Secondly human versality gives you the same boost as rogue boost would do for a (mostly) pure rogue.

Might want to consider a rogue / bard build instead. Bards get more skill points than clerics, so it's a lot easier to maintain one's trap skills without wasting points on high INT. And bards get a pretty decent mix of heals & buffs while still being capable of doing decent DPS.

    Default Cleric/Rogue

I have a cleric/Rogue that I built when I was doing 28 point toon. Not sure of stats since I am at work now. Will add more when I get home to look at my stats. I have enjoyed playing it solo to get traps and unlock. I am not built for a trapmonkey but I can handle most on normal and some on hard.
