    Default I just can't do it..anyone else?

For some reason, I just can't bring myself to play a WF. I know they are great, with lots of immunities and such, but I just can't get behind the idea of playing one. Even on a wizard, I know the self healing would make life alot easier, but I still can't do it. Maybe I'm just old(school). Humans, elves, dwarves, drow, halflings, and gnomes are what I grew up on.(I am old btw..I remember when Elf was a D&D class, not race..lol) Anyone else out there have a mental block about making a WF? Just curious.

Keep in mind, I am NOT bashing WF, and have no problem with those who play WF, I just can't do it myself. Should I call Dr. Phil??

Part of playing an MMO is the appearance of your avatar. If that avatar doesn't look the way you want, to make you want to play them more then its not a good avatar. Forgies have many great advantages, but look like ******** fish frogs. I'm with you, while the self heals are way less, I'll stick w/ my drow sorc.

I agree with you comrade, they're bulky robots that look ugly (uglier than male elves). However, if Turbine decides to add sexy bodies for female WF I just might change my mind

This is why I have a tendency to play Dwarfs...I like dwarfs I like the look of dwarfs. There are a vocal and strong group of players who play primarily Warforged. There is a group that swears by human...to each his own.

I am have been really draging my bootie on rolling up a new toon, but I plan on him being warforged. (I just dread playing through all the old content again)

In fact if they allowed the option when lesser/greater reincarnating I would change all my characters to WF! I am so sick and tired of being level drained, exhausted, and held (poison and disease are avoided easily enough). The WF race is amazingly powerful, I just wish the game allowed size customization as I imagine a halfling sized WF would be awesome!

Heh, I think I still have my original 1974 D&D rule set around here somewhere........

I found I have no problemo playing my WF, as long as I have a theme. What I do have a problem with, is some of the Docent armors, they are really fugly. I use an obsolete docent atm just because it looks so much better than a naked body suit Invulnerability docent.

Rolled my first WF a week ago, wizzie, of course. So far not sure about the wizzie thing but loving the WF. No UA item, immunities etc. Great so far.

You should roll one up and experience the glory that is leaving the flesh behind you. At worst, all you have to do is delete the character.

I can't do it; just because they're so bulky.
If they were to introduce a smaller, slimmer model for them I could.

I can't play halflings either. Too weird of a head shape and running.

Oh, I have tried them, just can't get into playing them. I have made multiple WF. With vet status, I have made them, gotten off the airship, and I always end up deleting them before they even get their gear out of the bank..lol.

maybe it'd help if you dont think of it as a warforged.. think of it instead as a gnome in a battlemech! after all, gnomes disappeared & warforged appeared.. its not a coincidence
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

I can't do it either. It's not even the genderlessness of them (I'm female), its the size of them...I always feel like i'm 5 feet away from the mob while meleeing.

OMG, has it occured to anyone that gnomes are not arround because the WF ate them??? I see that WF could be gnomes in battlemech armor, but I think they would be really noisy and smoke alot...

Oh man! This just blew my mind! I just KNEW there was something mischievous in the eyes of my WF fighter. Now I know it's the gnome inside. I think I can use this to get in the spirit of the robot. Now to make some "Wizard behind the curtain" style chat macros.

I might be able to play one as a 'nome in a battlemech.
Or if there where tiny ones that where playable.

Correction, leave the flesh behind for more than a couple of minutes.
I was much like Beherit_Baphomar, and had no love for our clanky brethren. I think my watershed moment was beating the tar out of a beholder while soloing as a rogue. The sudden realization that the eyestalks held no more terror made all my extremities tingle in a most pleasant manner.

My only real beef is that i'm a stealth junky, and the camera is a pain when using the larger WF model. I have some issues with bits of scenery getting in the way when I'm panned out and trying to see whatever I'm sneaking past. Outside of that, <3 me some 'forged.
