Hail to you all!

Today I decided to pay for a subscription to DDO to get access to all those beautiful things listed in the VIP section on the website.

I want to know, what does "Classes All included free*" mean? My account was bumped to VIP yet I can't play a Favored Soul character? If it's not different than "Basic, can purchase more" why not call it that? or "Basic + Monk"?

Also, I was only billed 1$ and I canceled. Is there a 13$ late fee coming in or can I just buy the 50$ bundle (for extra points this weekend, PAX deal) and actually end up getting more than with a subscription?

I just don't want surprises to come and lose all interest in this game due to the feeling of being scammed. Thank you very much for your patience.

As a VIP you can play all of the classes and races for free. However, the Favored Soul class and Drow race have to be unlocked using favor to play for free. (You can purchase them if you chose, but do not have to.)

The $1.00 is just an authorization hold. It will be released back to the card within a few business days. If you canceled before the $14.99 monthly fee charged, then the system will revert you back to Free. You'll need to wait at least a day to cancel.

However, I find it strange that the monthly fee didn't go through even 30 minutes after subscribing. And if I may add, would it be possible to clarify the VIP page with exact features? Maybe a class listing of some sort. Because to be honest, "All classes/races" sounds like FvS/Drow included to me... unless I missed a tiny line somewhere on the page that quickly reads "except those two" (kinda like batteries not included in commercials).

All of our billing processes at the same time, in the morning. So it won't charge the subscription fee until the next morning, regardless when you upgrade.

On http://www.ddo.com/vip where it lists what's included, under VIP and Classes and Races, it notes:
All included free*

If you scroll to the bottom of the chart it notes:
* Select races and classes may still require the use of game mechanics to unlock for free
