    Default Weapon Questions

Can Double Weapons (not two weapons) prompt glancing blows like their other 2 handed weapon counterparts?
    If they can('t), why?
    and
What exactly does a glancing blow do?

The only "double-weapon" in the game (or rather the only weapon currenttly in DDO that is defined as a double-weapon in 3.5 D&D) is the Quarterstaff.

    Yes, they get glancing blows.

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

There are no double weapons in DDO. While the quarterstaff is in DDO, and is considered a double weapon in PnP, it is NOT a double weapon, and shares none of those charactaristics. It's just a plain 2 handed weapon.

Glancing blows can do a small amount of damage to any enemies in the radius of
swing of a 2-handed weapon. If you have the Two-Handed-Fighting feat, the
amount of damage from glancing blows goes up a bit. If you then take
Improved-Two-Handed-Fighting, the amount goes up some more. If you then
take Greater-Two-Handed-Fighting, you actually get additional glancing blows.

The trick with glancing blows is that once you get one monster's health bar down
to a small amount, you can change targets to another nearby monster that is
fresh, and the glancing blows will usually kill the weakened monster, so you can
    dispose of creatures faster.
