Default Do true hearts of wood drop ingame?

Basically, is there any way to acquire true res in game other than TP farming?

I don't mind a grind if thats what it takes, I just need to know if it is possible (and how would be nice too)

Or do I need to take advantage of the 20% off sale currently available? Have they had other sales on these in the past (for a greater % off)? I don't mind waiting for the best deal, just don't want to miss this one if it is as good as it gets.

You can grind Epic quests for tokens to buy one. That is the only in game method currently.

Epic Tokens. Don't buy them unless you hate epic quests or have more money then sense =p

Well after Update 7, there will be a (probably verrry small) chance of Hearts of Wood dropping in game:

Thanks. Haven't started any epic grinding yet. Just came back to the game and am working on getting my legions of 16s up to 20. Maybe I need to start grinding them out on the charcters that are already there...

So the next question is...Are they bound to charcter or are they bound to account? aka, do i need to grind them on the character I want to TR?

Bound to Account - not sure if you're asking about the epic tokens or Hearts, but the answer's the same either way.

Unless things have changed, the ones that you grind are bound to character, the store ones are bound to account.

I was talking about the tokens...which seem to be bound to account according to Phidius's response....

Good to know that I can't just buy the heart from the vendor and trade it to the character...gotta trade the tokens and then buy...I guess this works like everything else (Minos helm comes to mind)...

    One last question...

How many epic tokens per heart? and how many typically drop per epic dungeon (I understand they drop like planar shards right?)?

Well, yeah they drop from treasure bags from killing mobs but they're not as plentiful as planar shards in my experience. Dunno if you can go about calculating how many drop per quest, cause I think its random.

Takes 20 epic tokens to get a True Heart. Epic tokens are gotten 2 ways. From killing mobs, they some time drop 1 fragment. 100 fragments = 1 token.

The second way is completing an epic dungeon. Give either fragments or a full token. Things like Epic Bargian of Blood is about 20-50 fragments. Epic Big top gives a full. Epic Claw of Vulkroon is 40-80 fragments. Each one is different. But the general guideline is the long the quest the more fragments you can get.

20 epic dungeon (not raid) tokens per true heart of wood. and they can drop like planar shards or as full tokens depending on the epic you are running. (the new short epic quests all drop shards and all treasure bags drop 1 shard like a planar shard) but the desert epic quests all drop 1 full token upon completion. 100 shards = 1 token and you generally get from 40-70 shards per chest depending on how lucky you are so you can expect a token every 2 runs or less if you are lucky.

Not sure how many tokens it takes to buy the true heart of wood.

But, epic token fragments drop in bags, not epic tokens. And I've only seen 1 fragment in a t-bag. It takes 100 fragments to make a full token. The epic chest at the end of an epic quest drops either 1 full epic token or a random number of fragments, depending on the developers percieved length and difficulty of the quest. For example the members in a recent run of the Claw of vulkoor quest in fens dropped between 46 ande 75 fragments.

Edit: I stand corrected. But didnt it used to be 20 raid tokens? When did this change?

Talk to Misty near the altar of epic rituals. She will say 20 epic raid tokens, not dungeon.

Epic Wiz-King, The Tide Turns, the final house P epic and VON3 are all PUGgable and offer full tokens (none are quick to run, however, and some require unusual weapons). Add Into the Depths to that list if you have a solid tank (tank in the traditional MMO sense of 'big sturdy guy that holds aggro', not 'high DPS melee'), add VON4 if you have a bard with Music of the Makers (all Virtuosos and one in twenty Warchanters have this) and add Offering of Blood if you have a top-notch arcane caster, or a solid Virtuoso bard (the latter is very rare).

The Last Stand, VON1, VON2, Fathom the Depths, Claw of Vulkoor and most of the House P and Sentinels chains are all very PUGgable and offer varying amounts of fragments.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.
