Default chaosguarde? - lev 16 gear?

    Why use Chaosguarde?
    Am I missing something?
At level 16 I have +6 ac bracers and a +4 protection ring and +2 natural ac ring from Invaders.
I use deathblock of invuln for my robes.

So, am I missing something or am I covered and don't need chaosguardes really?

Would I like Icy Raiment? sure ... not sure where or how to get that however.

Maybe someone wouldn't mind throwing out a list of gear I should be aiming for at level 16. I am probably a little outdated on my gear.

    head - minos legends
    neck - +6 wis
    hands - +6 str
    feet - +6 dex
trinket - nuthing but deleras trinket
    wrists - +6 ac
ring - ring of balance (+2 natural ac)
    ring - +4 protection +2 cha
    cloak - +5 resistance
    belt - +4 con
body - deathblock of invuln (or swap out for resists as needed)

Chaosgarde is for WF Monks. Start whoring yourself out looking for AC 8 bracers, though the new bracers coming in the next update might shake up the bracer slot a little bit.

I use Chaosguards with my DragonTouched armor. If your armor is already coming from Bracers then you would be taking a drop in AC to use Chaosguards. But if your armor is coming from something else, then Chaosguards provide a +2 and sometimes +4 bump.

Chaosguard's popularity comes from the way dodge bonuses stack differently than other bonuses do. Different strength dodge bonuses stack (+1 dodge bonus will stack with a +3 dodge bonus, a +1 dodge bonus will not stack with another +1 dodge bonus). Chaosguard is the only (is this still correct?) item that provides a +2 dodge bonus. If your toon has a high enough AC to matter, it's part of how you get a +10 dodge bonus (having +1, +2, +3, and +4 stacking dodge bonuses).

You use chaosgardes if you have DT (which already have 6 armor) because that would give the same AC bonus as Icy and 8 armor bracers but chaosgardes are a lot cheaper than 8 armor bracers.

Now THIS I did not know! Very helpful!

When I messed around with items the chaosguard didn't seem to add to my AC but maybe I didn't have the right combinations to see this stack correctly.

Is dragontouched from the GH raid? I am flagged for TOR but not completed yet.

I combo Chaosguards with the Vulkoorim Dervish robe at level 9-16. It makes sense to switch to an Icy Raiment and +6 armor bracer around 15 or higher. Icy Raiments drop from Garamol's chest in the subterreane. Form a raid party and go knock him out.

No, Dragon Touched is from Reavers Refuge area. Its great equipment once you get it the way you want it, but be warned, its the most annoying armor creation system imaginable!

This is what I do as well. Basically, for the level range, it seems to be the best way to get the highest AC possible. Once you get Icy, though, it's all roses (until you get Dragontouched with decent attributes, that is).

On WF monks, of course, Chaosgarde doesn't even really have competition, though you won't get as high an AC as non-WF monks. When you're high enough level and your AC is pretty much moot, you can switch to Levik's or somesuch.

Sorry for the questions but does the Subterreane raid require any pre-reqs?

There is no prereq for sub no. It's a explorer zone that allows a raid party into it

As long as you are part of the group you can enter the SubT at a MUCH lower level than that. My monk entered at 9 for Icy runs.
