this has been on my mind for a while now. as of yet every time i delete a character to make way for a completely new toon, but giving it the same name, has saved the friends list at a bare minimum, so that i have 20+ friends on my lvl 1 newly created toon. this is as close to character recovery that i have seen so far.
on my My DDO page on the list of characters i have it shows all the toons i have made, on all servers (not including those with the same name i.e how many times i have created one with that name) it shows them even if they have since been deleted. it seems that there is no way to recover the lost character that you deleted and later thought "****.....i dont wanna go through all that again".
i have been tyold in-game that there might be a way to do it if i send a message to GM's saying whats happened and all, but i was also told that that had only been possible in World of Warcraft.
is there a way for free, premium or VIP players to recover a deleted toon?? or is it now lost in the ethers of the DDO database??

We do not currently have a way to un-delete or restore characters (not even GMs). At this time it is a permanent process. However, I'm glad to pass your feedback along, and if we ever do add this it will certainly be announced, and then listed with the other Premium Services such as Character Renames.
The beholder thinks this is a great idea, as he's always interested in trying to kill people again (he's so bloodthirsty
