+1 INT tome @ lvl3 with Veteran

For those with veteran-status who build a lot of new characters and hate missing out on 1 skill point because they're stuck on the boat and can't get to a bank/mail box to get their lvl3 +1 INT tome at that point:

You can level to lvl 3, talk to her 1 more time to get XP for level 4, but end conversation before actual leveling.
Then type /death and end up on the shore. Skip korthos, use tome, and actually level.

Probably old news though.

Ah, but then you miss out on getting two korthos sets. Taking the class specific gear on the boat and then getting an archivist necklace for any character with a blue bar is DEFINITELY worth losing 1 skill point for imo.
