Please, don't get me wrong. I'm more than willing to farm for anything, but I don't have all that time for playing and every run though the Shadow Crypt flagging usually takes me two or three days. I hope you can understand how frustrating it can be.

That's way I was looking for something that doesn't involve long chains or high level raids I don't have access to (basically, it's not my style to pike or being carried through, so let the others do the dirty job is a no-no).

A collectibles turn-in reward as the Minos Legens (4 hour of solo farming for 20 tapestries), should make my day.

Try getting an alt flagged for shadow crypt and use that as an opener, quit running the whole series on your monk, just run shadow crypt itself. Find a nice caster with fw and do it in 20 minutes instead of two or three days.

see it peeps like some of u who are screwing this game up with the distime stuff i played this game sense beginning and helped alot of u out and this what u say about other peeps u look them up on myddo and they dont compare this whole post was about all monks on sarlona not just 4 or 5 but as usually u all come to a opinion before u play with more peeps i just love the short minded peeps on forums latey

I though silver was a harper though, they are all so casual, hard to say any of them are in keens's "class" christ keens is so intense his forum posts are in code....

Thanks a lot. However, it's not as bad as I thought. Run my first Shroud just yesterday. Now I can write in my bio:

It was a great party, just one death (mine) in part 2, but I was so excited that I forgot to loot the chests in part 4! With Holy burst/pure good and spamming earth Ki strikes, I can still contribute in some way (at least on normal) and keep AtH on the healers.

Also, pulled Metalline of greater construct bane: now I have a portal beater. And flagging for tower is underway.

Definitely, yesterday was my best day of gaming since I started.

Back when the monk first came out, a lot of people made super high AC builds, that couldn't really do anything in a party except brag about how high their AC was.

They didn't have metalline, or pure good on handwraps. A lot of the basic mods that are on all weapons were missing from handwraps. There were no named handwraps at all.

There are no greensteel handwraps. Since ToD was added, monks can get rings with bursting damage on them, which was a major dps increase point.

They've revisted the feats and enhancements several times since EU was launched, added lots of named handwraps, and added all of the basic mods to the handwraps loot generation. All of this combined has made the monk 100 times better than they were when first released.

All that's left to fix is weighted on handwraps. It doesn't affect the DC of stunning fist or stunning blow like it should.

They also need to fix the ravager set bonus for handwraps-it doesnt proc at all like it is supposed to.

Honestly Id rather see death by shadow crypt. Stop giving such advice please.....

Many of the monks I have run with are great. I did run with one who was a bit of zerger and we were running without a cleric. A few people followed him and it made for a chaotic romp that was ultimately successful. But a lot of people died on an elite quest with one shrine. Kind of annoyed me that they wouldnt work cohesively together, but such can be some pugs.

What was worse though is after the quest a few people said thanks and left and this monk started ripping into the other players. How bad they were... etc etc... After a 17 minute quest where some people were dead for 12 of those minutes I would question why anyone would disparage others so ruthlessly.

And it wasn't as if he himself didn't die 3 times... nor did he lead in kill counts for first place or even second. (The Wizard we had owned in kills and passed out stone skins and blurs and timely resists etc.)

To me it struck me as pure, elitist, unfounded garbage. Trash talking players who arent even in group anymore. The leader of the group kicked him after the quest during the middle of his hate rant and thanked us for the group. I know I 'friended' him.

Its unusual to run into people like that but it happens. Most people I have met in Sarlona lately have been much friendlier and the monks especially are typically first rate. Some of the top players I have run into have me puzzling through MyDDO to figure out their crazy builds or ridiculous gear hehe.

most of the people on Sarlona are pretty cool.....but there is always a certain % of people on any server that think of themselves as LEET. Some of em are....some of em aren't. Alot of people say or do stuff in game and on the forums that they wouldn't do IRL.....sitting in the saftey of your home and having anonimty allows things to go unchecked. I just chalk up LEET speak as a way to boost thier egos cause lord knows being UBER in the game sure as hell spills over in the real world. I consider myself a pretty good player.....but does that get me anything that really matters.....nah not really( have made some good friends though...so I guess that's cool!!!).

When I farmed my devouts, I had guildies help me out. All 6 of us flagged for the quest, then we individually got the Shadow Crypt quest. This allowed for farming for the wraps 6 times before having to repeat the flagging.

It's a good tactic, I did it with a PuG (6 monks!), it was my last attempt. My guildies enjoy Gianthold, the Vale and Amrath, but almost nobody likes Necropolis, non-VIPs don't have even the Orchard. I will keep farming with PuGs and the like. Thank you for help.
