I'm curious, what's the real value of this thing? I understand it doesn't stack with haste, so it seems to only be useful if you are not rolling with a caster regularly or your caster is the type who hates to buff. Maybe if you solo as a melee class alot and don't like haste clickies or chugging pots every 30 seconds it's cool. Am I missing something?

I see it on the AH for 12-14 mil gold. More than bloodstones or larges or lots of other things that seem more useful.

In my humble opinion it sucks. I've had a few since they first came out. Back then there was a possible argument for having it on a toon in case you did not have a haster in party and didn't have madstone boots yet.

Now, it's just waiting for it to go epic.

If you're a DPS toon that isn't level 20 in a class that gives alacrity, are in a party incapable of hasting, aren't a monk, and don't carry haste pots or think they're a waste of time, then it's useful.

I personally find uses for it when TWF with special weapons which proc on crit or vorpals. The more dice rolls you have, the better chances for taking things out more quickly.

Back when gh first came out it was pretty nice but since i roll with stacks of haste pots fairly useless now.But i did pull one on cannith and promptly sold one for 6 mil gold so someone out there still likes it.

Back in the day, it was great for characters that were self sufficient that didn't rely upon haste to do up their own boots or wipe their butts.

However, ever since they went through and changed the attack animations such that the "fifth" attack has been removed, you really don't need it, even at level. You really can not see much of any change at all. Before when the 5th attack was around you could.

Maybe if you wear Anchoring Boots for Haste immunity you'd have a use for the collar.
