Default Why pick WF for mnk?

I see many people talking about WF monks and I'm wondering why.

Main reason for WF is usually immunities, but mnk gets natural immunities as they level up (excluding paralyze).
So do people just take it for the +race con and power attack enhancements?

Those PA enhancements really add up when your're attack so fast that you can't actually keep up with the numbers floating above the monster's head

It's also one of the best ways to make a monktank. Decent DPS with the WF threat modifiers can stick things to you like glue.

I took it this incarnation so I could be healed by arcanes. I like it alot. Also gives some versatility unavailable to other races because of docents.

Great for str based monks because of +3 to combat feat dcs.

It's also been interesting having the extra fort save while in wind stance.

My review: I likes WF monks.

There are many reasons, the para immunities are a huge one no doubt, in addition to that its very easy to have a WF monk that starts with 16 con and dex, making it easy to get both max win and earth stance, one provides the best dps stance, and the other provides the best ki strike attacks.

Add to that WF tactics and wf power attack and you have a pretty beefy monk.

Something else you dont see spoken about is this, now that we get the first 4 stances for free, people complain that they dont have anything useful to spend the free AP's on and gota waste it on things like monk conc or balance, as a WF monk you never have that problem as you get useful low level WF enchancments.

@the guy above me i'm pretty sure the dont stack, sorry

    These do not stack.

OP, one of the BEST reasons to go WF is for their immunity to being level drained either by Enervation or Energy Drain spells and by the Beholder's eye rays.

If you're going to spend a lot of time in the Subterrane, being immune to level draining is really nice.

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

WF monks can be alot a fun when built respectfully . I built one based simular to one of Arkat's builds . I was not dissapointed . Tho with the wf I built . It's currently running in an all warforge group ( paladin , monk , sorc, bladesworn fvs , rogue , and even a warforged bard . ) . Group rocks . Albeit the groups only hit level 12 an running around GH mostly . It'll be fun watching the group develop when we hit subterraine .

Anyways , yes the above mentioned reasons for wf monks are all true . You the player just have to decide if you can stand to look at something as odd as a warforge for xx hours your gaming .

There not for everyone , and they really do benefit the most from 32 point builds or tr ing into a WF.
