Default I realize this is weird, but LFM Necro II

Gonna be getting home in an hour and the past 3 nights I've tried to get parties up for Necro II. I'm trying to get EXP for it and I'd like to do H->E.

So if anyone has characters in the levels 8-10 range (and 11 for the 2nd go round) I'd love to have you.

Or we could just run the Crypt on elite 3x if you're into that also.

    Message chonas ingame.

if you are going for fast xp then its imo best to go with 3 ppl (one max fw caster, one roguetype and one other, preferrably a healertype). do the tombs on normal (can do shadow knight on hard or leet and let the rogue do the traps. that does take a bit more time but gives substantial more xp) for quick completion. shadow king can be done on normal without pulling the boss to the cage as he is vulnerable for a good 2 seconds before becoming invulnerable. so a firewall + scorching ray fixes him.

this all can be done in 35 mins (or less) with a dedicated group. only one get the quest-chain update and you do the crypt on normal for the xp bonus. now the next can update chain and you do hard. with your last advancement you farm elite till youre tired or you figure the xp arent worth it anymore.

a usual shadow crypt run just for completion takes around 15 minutes. with extra chests around 20.

thats more like 250k xp in like 3 hours

i know you guys know that, but some might not.

While I would have liked to have done NNNHE, I was level 10 before first entering the series. So I'm stuck with HHHE or HE (which I shall be doing).

I'm also going to run the crypt on HHHE though because that'll be like 70k exp and 4 chances at devouts. I'm aware of the optimal group though (for elite it's more like 2 fw casters a bard, pally, healer [pref lvl 10 fvs], and ____ because you have to split up in Shadow Lord).

    shadow lord:
yes you have to split, caster one side and others on the other side. the one non-caster that runs first aggroes the ghosts and pulls em around (don't mind any da, its only short) and the other pulls the lever. 15 seconds after the caster is there with the firewall. on normal it works with a caster and a non caster too. just need a hastepot on the non casterside so you can pull the lever before the mobs attack you.

on the crypt i would always go for elite farming as the optionals give substantial more xp and the overall xp is better aswell. the mobs however don't hit harder imo (if you have deathward clicky). enter room, run to middle, throw maximized/empowered firewall and do jump around. its easier with a wf though as you can repair yourself.

i done this from lvl 8 to lvl 10 with my wf sorc (greater potency iv scepter, maximize, empower) and my wifes 7bard/1rog exactly as explained before. we just skipped normal and went straigt for h/eeeeeeee. for some crypt runs we had company along though

The party I stated was an optimal "guildies are all on in level range of exactly the classes we need." Because the sorcs split in Lord, and 2 sorcs make for faster runs on elite (which doesn't scale regardless of the number of party members you have).

Also when you run something H-EEEEEEE you're wasting one of your "no exp loss from repetition runs" since you get 3. If you do H H H E you would have no exp loss for the Hards, or the first elite. You have to 3peat the difficulty you plan on doing the most to optimize EXP (also it's just faster to do the 3peat on an easier setting if you can).

while this is true, the more xp of the mini bosses in elite compared to hard does make going once on hard worthwile imo. iirc (i didn't really calculate this) its around 2.5k more xp on optional bosses on elite than on hard (depending on the number of bosses ofc)

For shadow knight-doing all the traps is more xp then the quest (not on elite I dont think), and the traps alone take less time then the quest.

Shadow king even on elite doesnt need to be dragged to the special room... useful if the grp doesnt have sufficient dps, but otherwise the room just wastes time.

but yeah, best place to farm xp.... and if you hold your lvls you move to the desert and get lvl 14 there

I could see that (like in Tear of Dhakaan or the Shadow Knight trap bonus). But since I haven't done a quest at level since level 1 (currently 3 levels over every quest I complete), the 5000 extra exp you get from doing elite, - 2000 exp from the 10% repetition bonus on Elite #2 makes 3000 exp more for those first 2 runs. I'll take the time saved from doing hard over 3000 exp in this case.

heh, but the quests are practically the same on hard/elite. on hard the mobs take 1.5 firewall ticks to evaporate, on elite 2

timewise i'd say theyre exactly the same (most time goes by searching the chests in the uw mazes).

but in general i'd say we agree that its the best way to go from lvl 8 (greater potency iv) to lvl 10 in the shortest amount of time.

Greatest way to go from levels 10.5-11.5 on a reincarnate (though it is cutting into my far superior VON exp, but that's another longer story lol).

so what do you grind up to 10.5 without the xp of the shadow tombs?

http://my.ddo.com/guild-khyber-favored/log/ That tells all the quests I've done in the 2 weeks since my reincarnation (plus like 3 from other guild members but it's mainly me).

I'd post my own from MYDDO, but I bugged it out when I rerolled a character after unlocking 1750 favor and buying monks.
