    Default DPS Rogue

I started out thinking I might want to play a trap monkey style rogue but after a bit of play decided I'd like to go the DPS rout. I'd like to know if my build is suited for the task or if it's time to reroll before getting too far in.

My original build is as follows

    Str 14
    Dex 18
    Con 10
    Int 14
    Wis 10
    Cha 8

I'm Level 6 now and put my level 4 stat bump in dex and bought the elven dex and rogue dex bumps for a total of 21 in dex plus gear.

I'm on the assassin path with duel wield. Is there anything I should change in a reroll or am I fine if I continue on a path increasing Str as I go?

Your stats are ok but 10 is a tad on the low side for Con. If you do roll up another rogue you might want to consider shaving a point off Dex and giving your Con a boost. That said, a 10 Con is not a build killer just make sure you get the best Con stat item and best False Life items you can, take the Toughness Feat and Enhancements, get a Minos helm and then eventually a Greensteal hit point item. You're going to have to work to get you hit points up.

As for the Assassin path, the real fun doesn't start until Assassin II which is not available until level 12. So until reach level 12 I would not bother staying on the 'path'. Take what ever enhancements you need and can use now and then respec your enhancements once your reach level 12.

But yeah, with a little hard work, good aggro management and an eye on your hit points you should make a great DPS rogue. And if you keep your trapping skills maxed out and get the best gear for your level you will be a great DPS Trap Springing rogue.

What he said about con and hp. 10 is do-able, but you need Toughness and need to keep up on your hp equipment, and my first +2 tome would be a con tome. Heck, I'd even say 8 is do-able, but there's little reason to ever do it.

Normally, "DPS" rogues are putting level-up points into strength. Sounds like you're finess, which is fine since you didn't gimp your strength, but just sayin'. Either way sure beats starting with an 18 intelligence, which it sounds like was on the menu before. Even 14 is "a lot" of intelligence for most rogues, except assassin ones.

I'd probably have put two points from wisdom into con, or had maybe a little less int, or a hair less dex, or even a hair less strength, but that's just personal preference, and, overall, nothing is out of whack or anything. Looks like a solid "all-around" rogue that should be adequate or good at pretty much everything.

And if you wind up not liking him later, you can always reincarnate at level 20 and make him "perfect."
    I can dodge fireballs, baby!
