    Default T.V. Doctor

When I first bought FS, i started looking on the forums for various ideas of what to do, and i noticed a general trend where people assumed that you had things like tomes, high level char to send you eq, ect. Since i have never had anything better then a level 12, i desided to just take what i had learned and make a bit of a char build of my own.
The tv doctor part is in referance to my bio: I am not a medic, but i play one on T.V. (in other words, i work best as a back up healer and melee combatant, not as primary healer, but i can hum a few bars when i need to.)

The build was designed to be a bit of everything (aka, solo build that can do well in parties). It is probably "gimped" in some ways, but shrug, it is working well so far.

The primary early level focus of the build is to be a melee fighter who can back up the other fighters (and keep himself healed in the process). As the party starts to loose too much health, the build backs up and heals. With a few basic buffs, most of the heals, and a semi-decent eq selection (started with veteran) it worked quite well for the first 6 levels.

As I reached level 8, groups needed healing abilities more and more due to high damage monsters, so i started meleeing less and healing more, slowly transforming into a spell-slinger (primary healer, with soundburst for crowd control and a single damage spell for long range or undead). With a set of mithril full plate, i have full dex bonus, so at least 16 of the 17 dex is not wasted, and i can get access to improved twf if i deside to do so.

As for skill selection, it couldn't be simpler: put 2 points in tumble (cross class so gives you 1), then max concentration, umd and jump, since there are few class skills that are worthwile, and you only get 3 points per level on this build.

    Default tweaking

remember, FvS can wear heavier armor. So, unless you are going to add Monk for evasion (too late to add rogue - that need to be done at first level and THEN take Fvs), you may want to switch Dex and Str at some point (LR at ?).

Next, I would switch out Scroll and Wand Mastery for getting Scion or Life lines earlier.

Finally, what is your long term plan. I or others may be able to help with mid or endgame thoughts

first, using mithril full plate, and i dont know of any heavier armor yet, but you may have just not seen that part. with 17, the +3 dex i get is the most that mithril full plate allows as dex bonus, so in theory, i have the best armor i can wear outside of +5 (wearing +4).

second, you are right, i almost never use wands, and i thought i would. Most of the parties i get into either a) have my friend in them who is a cleric, allowing me to mostly fight melee as i origionaly intended, or b) dont get hurt enough to really tax my massive mana reserves. Havent had to use a pot, and very few charges of a wand yet in 4 levels.

Finally, my end game preferance would be to be a spellcaster. I origionally thought that i would make it primaraly a twf FS, but although i may change my mind (this is a work in progress), i enjoy tossing around soundbursts and the like. As things are going now (everything is subject to change), i primarly use melee when soloing, since i can barely trust a minion to tie its own shoes half the time.

First, you are sort of right about Mithril Plate. I do believe that dragon Armor carries more AC bonus but I am not sure if it is heavier(MY comp is in "hospital" and I am using MUCH older and unwieldy comp). Also, you should be able to use another Dex AC bonus per plus (so +5 Mithril Plate should allowat least +5 Dex bonus).

Second, since you are not using wand and scrolls, I would switch that out for the spell critical lines (there are like three of them). Also, start taking the additional percentage lines. Next, think about taking Divine Favor and Divine Power for when you are soloing. Other than that, Holy Smite and Balde Barrier are essential and the Mass spells (CSW, Bull's Str, etc.) are helpful so that the cleric can concentrate on healing.

Third, you need to find a +2 or better Cha and Wis tome. Wis is spell DC and needs to be higher to land endgame. However, you need at least a Cha of 19 in order to cast 9th level spells. Base +tomes+enhance+level is used for Cha calc and Base +tomes+enhance+level+items is use for Spell DC. So, you do have more wiggle room with Wis but not that much. I would LR and drop the Str to 12 and use items (and spells at low level) to boost.
