Default Brother Nerezza: Any Tips for 2 Noobs?

I won't lie. The first time my friend and I trooped off to take this guy on, he spanked us hard. I was on my 11 Paladin, the friend on his 10 FvS (Evoker). With that kind of a setup, there didn't seem to be any reliable way to kill him quick enough before he split into a half dozen or so clones. So, what's the trick? The rest of the quest chain was laughably simple, despite being long and rather bland. I realize you need both adamantine and silver to cut through his DR, and he takes extra damage from Searing Light. Even with that, he and his cronies seemed to cut is down fairly quickly. After several attempts, we set it to casual and effectively 2 shot him, but felt dirty afterwards.

We're going to try him again in a few nights. Anything we can do to make him a little less of a pain in the Axe?

We did notice that his split-clones all seem to share the same HP pool, which would be just fabulous if we had FW. A FW hireling didn't help, as he got eaten in about 4 seconds.

Smash him like you did on Casual, and make sure you keep yourselves h ealed. with practice you shouldbe able to egt the fight over before he can egt to four clones, usually three is where I get him. Thats on Normal with a level 11-12 dark path Monk. Smash him for 500 to start, so in your case smite him and searing light, then as soon as he reappears hit him again with the best thing you can. Divine sacrifice hits him super hard too, as it does light damage, and you can get upwards of 7d6 before it becomes purple damage on him.

The healing is the hardest part, I frequently fat-finger it and LOH on the vamp instead of myself .

I have a pittifulc AC on my paladin, due to being Warforged, so they almost all hit me pretty hard. I need to figure out what his pattern is for disappearing into a stream of bats. I also just flat out need to get a better weapon to deal with him, my main standby right now is Xuum which isn't fantastic for DR purposes. DS works well against him. I'm wondering if I should just have the FvS nuke the **** out of him until he's out of mana. A Maximized Searing Light hits him for 200~, and a smite crit can do about the same depending on the weapon.

Make sure u have the right weapons to bypass his DR. Not sure if it's just silver or silver and something else.

Also protectionf rom evil is suppoed to ward u from dominate....tho it does not seem to be working properly against vampires lately.

I think the FvS should nuke nuke nuke as best he can and you should pick a vampire and get its agro and beat it down, then move onto the next. It might take a few tries, but you should be able to do it.

yeah you both need to have prot from evil just in case you either roll a one and get dominated. Good call buffing with that.

Well, then beat the addy dr if you can't beat both, obviously. However if Xuum is your best weapon, then just swing away.

Unyielding Sovereignty is not an offensive spell, despite using a similar graphic to spells that can be cast on enemies.
