I just cry when I think about all the holy silver weapons we vendored in the past. "Bah, the vampires aren't that tough, throw away that +2 holy silver light pick of crappy!!"
Next thing ya know, we'll 'need' beyshk weapons for real.

holy/silver geob for your pitfiends (see most bbeg's) holy/silver is your dr breaker geob is just extra dmg (and who doesnt want extra dmg?)
blunt/holy gub for your sorjeks/abbotts
Some things that will work to some extent mostly on normal diffculty would be anarchic/burst geob, holy/burst goeb, metaline goeb. Thou they wont pass dr 100% they will still have reasonable output.
Maiming still adds decent dmg onto things inplace of greater banes, things like a holy silver of maiming would work great etc, and of course asap make yourself some mineralII greensteel weapon/s in your charcters flavour.

Bane weapons also add to your to-hit versus that type of monster.
Tip# 203: Death is a traumatic experience.
In addition, if you can self-heal, vicious weapons also does 2d6 untyped damage to anything

Damage Reduction:
Harry has DR 15/silver AND good on Normal (30 and 60 on Hard and Elite respectively). In other words, your attacks deal 15/30/60 less damage than usual unless your weapon possesses one property from *each* of the following two lists:
List 1: Beating the 'good' part of the DR:
Flametouched Iron
Holy
Pure Good
Goodburst
Good Blast
Holy Burst
Aligned
Epic Red/Purple/Orange Augment Crystal - Good
(Paladin only) Paladin Capstone
(Monk with handwraps only) ToD ring with Holy Blast crafted onto it
List 2: Beating the 'silver' part of the DR:
Alchemical Silver
Metalline
Silver Threaded (handwraps only)
It's no use to have a weapon with properties only from one list - you must have both.
On Normal difficulty, Greater Evil (or Lawful) Outsider Bane weapons that do not beat DR are perfectly acceptable (a +3 GLOB weapon will do more damage than a +2 metalline flametouched iron weapon, and much better GLOB/GEOB weapons are available such as +3 Anarchic Handwraps of GLOB.).
