Try running Dreaming Dark on hard (or elite if you prefer), going for the optional chest. Only about 12-15 mobs to kill and takes less than 5 minutes if you know where the 3 keys are. Got mine on my 3rd run of Dreaming Dark (hard). It is far, far less annoying than running Eye of the Titan on elite. Plus there will be actual loot in the chest, so at the very least you can sell some junk.

Axer, two things.

One, the Eardweller disappears after a fairly short period of time (2 or 3 minutes I think), so having someone farming o your behalf without you on standby (as in, sitting outside the quest) is a rather poor idea, as the Eardweller is likely to be gone by the time you get inside.

Two, Eye of the Titan is the inferior quest to grind for the thing. Go do Dreaming Dark. If you're even mediocre at the jumping, and you of all people should be, it's much faster than Eye, and easier, since you don't have to deal with killing a red named boss with ridiculous fire resistance.

Also, if you happen to not be capped, there is the added benefit of getting something like 1,500-2000 XP doing the Dreaming Dark method (break the crystals after you kill everything and check the chest).

It's 10 minutes, confirmed by my guildies and others.

And my wizard has teleport and sprint boost and is bound in IQ.. So yea it's not a problem getting there in time no matter where I am.

Also have an SSD, so i have no load screens anymore.. im incredibly fast at moving around.

Might be best that im already online, but sometimes on the forums im just alt tabbed out.

RE: other stuff.. Um yea look at the post date. Im aware of the new stuff so just ignore that info, people who do this know where it drops anyways so it doesn't matter.

Ill probalby do more DD later, but im busy doing other things and really sick of that stuff.

Once I read about it I decided to get one, and it happened for me in Eye of the Titan on only my second solo run on Hard. One thing I read that someone else did was that once I killed the boss, I dropped down the tunnel and ended the quest completely. I then returned to the clam, dropped 3 firewalls, opened it, my summoned went nuts, I heard the sound of damage done, a hiss, and a bag PLOP, and there it was. Only thing I can think that I may have done differently than you is the ending of the quest prior to opening the clam. Then again, after the number of runs you have done on that I'm guessing you've tried just about everything, and maybe I just rolled that lucky 1.5% chance number, which is probably more likely. If you are on Khyber up Shinsizzle, I'll be happy to run a few with you to try to get it for ya.

I have one on all of my blue bar toons. It's about a 10% drop rate on the chest in DD that takes >10 minutes to get to. I've had 2 run out of the same chest.

2 flawless reds? I know what I'm doing. I'll send a tell if/when I get one.
