Talking How to Fix Dungeon Alert

    A) Form a raid group and fill with arcanes.
    B) Enter Subterrane.
    C) Everyone casts Master's Touch on self.
    D) Cast several globes of invulnerability and have entire group run back and forth through them.
    E) Crash the server.
    F) Point out to Turbine that their precious love child, Dungeon Alert, was completely unable to prevent that.

Britches and Hose kidnapped my dog and are forcing him to farm Shroud ingredients.

I wasn't aware that dungeon alert needed fixing? It is working fine from my point of view and was a very welcome addition to the game.

    ... ... ... ...

    Next up, DPS Alert.

When parties begin outputting too much DPS, which causes lag, they get DPS Alert. The effects are similar to Dungeon Alert, except that instead of affecting your movement speed it affects your attack speed, thus solving the problem of DPS Lag. Woo! Can't wait...

we could always try sneaking into the Turbine dormitory with wet T-shirts, 2 dozen bars of soap, plastic bags and a video camera............?????

Then again, they may have recieved some sort of training to counter act that...... so it might not work

I don't know how anyone can consider it to be working fine in Coal Chamber, for instance. Bats spawn, and you get an instant alert.
    I can dodge fireballs, baby!

When reading the post you quoted, most peoples' sarcasm detectors get an instant alert too

Hmm...dungeon alert...I always hated this feature. To me personally if I were running away from something and MORE things started chasing me I'd do everything I could to gtfo of there. Seems to me harried should be replaced with a penalty to ac but increased running speed rather than the other way around. Even getting harriered when the creature misses is a bit..annoying. Apparently they don't like your characters being cowards when out numbered and out maneuvered and out of sp. xD

Nah just raise the mob ac so you miss 3 out of 5 swings. Then you could lower its hps so it would still die as fast or faster and problem solved.

Hi welcome to the game. So which of your family members works for Turbane?
    In game ===> Toxn / Tayz / Teslah / Sisy / Sleastak
    (Argo - Archmagi)

Don't worry he got neg rep from me.

Most accepting fanboi response ever. Yeah, dungeon alert has worked sooo well...

I guess that's why even my caster cannot even see his casting actions in the middle of dumping my mana on bosses! It's been a great lag fix despite the devs saying that it has helped.

If they coded the game better like other games have, I'm sure many of the real lag issues would dissappear.

Now, in response to the op, I have dropped all of my griefing spells and picked up scrolls of globe just to "help" out parties as of late! Your right! It does wonders on lag!

Someone did something like that in EVE long time ago (deliberately generating insane server load, self-destruct freigthers full of junk in Jita). Those players where perma-baned after.

Its OK for you to do whatever you want. But only as long as it doesn't effects others. If you crash, it's OK, buti f others can't login anymore because of that (and you did it on purpose), you could be banned.

Be carefull. Things can end in fire.

Touche. Granted I grief only groups I know can handle the quest. God knows there's know reason to help make quests harder for groups that hardly have the skill to complete...

Of course, this is also one reason I won't pug. Time is valuable and joining below par groups with a questionable outcome is no way to enjoy the game. Except Tinnk's drunken raid nights. Those failures are beyond hilarious!

So you thought shores was being serious, rather than sarcastic? I'm hoping I just missed your use of sarcasm. Yeah, shores didn't use any smileys to indicate his true meaning (as you did in other phrases where you clearly are being sarcastic).... but personally, I feel it would be impossible to say DA is a welcome addition to the game without so much sarcasm that smileys aren't necessary to convey the sarcastic nature. I mean... if someone had said "DDO didn't begin to take off until Pale Master was added to the game" would anyone need to be told that the statement was not really meant?

lol yeah I missed it completely! Too aggressive tonight... Sorry Shores, I'll make it up to you!

Just too many things irritate me about DA to have a serious, constructive chat about it. Especially since the lag never did leave.

Well, at the very least I'm upholding my part in the Argo drama!
