Lots of folks have. I have on my cleric and ranger. Only list of rings for both of these toons, no tomes, and it was not the full list of rings.
Whiteabbot (renamed was Cardinaldrew) - Badmonkey - Ramblinrose - Heatmonkey - Soulmonkey - Minglle wood - Estimated Prophet - and other monkeys

Have yet to see a +4 tome drop or hear about +4 tome dropping as end reward for 20th! Plenty of rings though.
