Default 34 pt 2 weapon fighter

Hello everyone. I currently have a level 18 monk that I'm seriously considering re-incarnating into a 2 weapon fighter (when he's 20). The main reason is that I'm horribly jealous of all the sweet khopeshes I see high level fighters using. Seriously. Fistwraps are okay, but I want a 16-20 crit range, and the awesome style of big old swords....

So if I did this, some questions:

    1. Are there any current 34 pt builds I could follow? I looked through the first couple pages, and got some ideas, but I don't want to re-invent the wheel if I don't have to. Oh, human please! I know warforge are awesome, but my monk is human, and I don't want to change his identity that much! Plus, I like being human. Call me old fashioned, but I want to identify with my main character - it's why I don't play girl characters. (Yes, I'm a human man in RL!)

    2. If you were about to have your first level 20, what would you make sure you farmed/accomplished before you reincarnated?

    3. If you have experience with high level monk vs. fighter gameplay, is there any huge reason I should NOT do this? I DO love how fast my monk moves, his high reflex saves, etc. I'm just so meh about his cloth rags, and silly fist punches. Yes, style is important to me!

    Thanks for any advice!

Ques #1 Plenty of builds to look at, actually way to many to list. You need to narrow the question a bit. Start with the basics, are you wanting pure ftr or multiclass? As to going human, that's fine, but to fully take advantage of kopesh you should go WF.

Ques #2 House P time trinket, Voice of Master and/or Worldshaper cloak from Thernal are a couple of must haves. Generally low min lvl stat items and gear without extra stuff (ie +4 con instead of +4 com of feather falling). Also, some like to have the silver flame favor to get heal pots and stock up on them before TRing. Lots of other stuff thats more build/char specfic, like carniflex, cartouche, etc...

Ques #3 In general you're looking at loosing saves/AC/speed/EVASION. Also, as a TR with monk past life you could have one step higher on unarmed damage chart (go to 2d14).

Perhaps building a 32pt alt as a TWF kensai would be a better way to go. Unless of course you're looking to get completionist.

khop is 17-20 with improved crit. I think kensai can make that 16 though. Decide which way, kensai or stalwart first, then flesh it out.

my build is in my sig, but it is a stalwart. choose sort by views when looking at the forum fighter threads and the first 4 or 5 pages have some heavy discussion builds.

DT armor, dragon relics, full set of sigils for necro, cartouche, dward clickie, just about everything.

    can't answer

    Thanks for any advice!
TR gives you an opportunity to prepare ahead of time for gear for a new toon while keeping all the loot. Do raids that are close to 20 runs and get everything you can. Do you shroud items.
Plan your toon. A well planned TR is awesome, Just awesome.
Cannon fodder build The Stalwart Defender, Raid Tank
    Worst Shroud PUG EVER!!!!!! Epic Fail (started 1/13/10, necro'd 3/9/10, 4/20/10, raised dead 3/ 9/11, necro'd 4/9/11, 5/28/11, fame petition necro 8/5/11, necro'd 9/30/11, KIA 10/3/11, True reincarnated famed (by cleric Cordovan) 10/4/11,

The 20 raids is a good one to point out MrWiz, I can't believe I forgot that one. I'm actually waiting on 60th reaver to do next TR on a caster (at 58 now).

Also, the necro sigil is nice as well, you can go directly into litany of the dead which is easy solo on elite for some good xp farm.

Don't know everything, but I'm fairly sure you will not be loosing AC if you TR into a fighter. In fact it will probably be much higher with little work.

Actually, monk will be in outfit/robes so max dex bonus is infinite. Also monk wis bonus to AC can be huge. Typically monk get ~10 AC from Wis and ~8 from dex and can wear icy raiments with armor bracers +8. So 30+ AC from chest + bracers slot.

Ftr with best full plate (epic redscale) 17 base, 2 dex bonus and 2 from chaos guarde (throw in past life and ftr enh and SD) you can get that dex up to 7 (10 if dwarf). That using 1 feat, 24 AP, and a PrE to get 29 AC on a dwarf from those same 2 slots.

Its just easier for a monk to get good AC vs a ftr. Both can be good, but a monk doesn't sacrifice much compared to a fighter. The typical monk has better AC than a ftr.

I'm just biased because I'm on my first char, and it'a SD Fighter. I am coasting along at an easy 43 AC, and I can't really afford any good items.

Ok, so someone gave me a Giants Plate...and I got lucky with a few drops, but some of the items that get mentioned around here make me cry they are so good!
