Hey, I just recently made a DDO account, and i was looking through the options and i noticed a "Use DirectX10 Graphics" option. But to my sadness, i can't select it.

Right now, I'm currently using Vista,
my graphics card is Nvidia GeForce 7000m and i'm using directx 11.
I have no idea why i can't use Directx10 for graphics. Can anyone help?

Your graphics card is not DirectX 10 capable.

Nor DirectX 11...the 8xM series was the first to support DX10 and as far as I am aware DX11 is ATI only (at the time of this post).

I get the same grayed out option for DX10, yet my video card box has a "DirectX 10.1" diamond on the front.
(and says the same on the nvidia site) It's a GT 240 1024MB DDR3
DXDIAG says I have DX11 installed.
any ideas why no DX10 for me?
***edit: got it! I had been running DDO under compatibility mode for XP to avoid the loading bug I was experiencing. If you turn this off, it detects it and turns the options on.Last edited by AgntSmith; 04-05-2010 at 09:30 PM.
