Default Now for another end game cleric gear question...

Ok, so now I'm working on my DT armor, gathering my raid gear, etc., etc.. My plan had been to go all three pieces of the Lorrik's champion set for Sup Devotion 8. However I was reading a number of recent threads scoffing at the lorriks set, saying there are better items...

one mentioned the Bard TOD set (was it Torins?) ok, it's nice, better metamagic, but only sup potency 6... I don't see this as better than lorriks but... is there something I'm missing?

Is there a sup potency 8 Item out there? or what other gear do you recommend?

There is a sup pot VI necklace Smedgars Necklace Plus it has Wizardry on it I +150sp, it is part of the virtuoso set, drops from bastion of power.

Also Amara.s belt gives Suoerior Ardor 8 as a 3 minute clicky which is nice. Also has the Wiz VI on it.

Trumps lorricks IMO. I have dropped Lorricks in favour of the Sup pot necklace.

As for the lorricks set, I gave up on the grind of SOS to get the right rune.

It is pretty easy to find two belts around Shavarath that give you a total of 18 minutes of +75% to healing spells of level 1-8. Not only is that 12% more healing than a lorick set, but it uses zero body slots instead of three.

You can craft Greater Devotion VIII on a TOD ring. Takes up less than one slot, versus three for Lorrick. I don't know anyone that uses Lorrick's.

oh come on the shield is nice for the blocking dr if you couldn't/didn't get the one you really wanted... but then again shields are only a sometimes used thing, unless you are a textbook intimatank with a weaker dps mode then most.
I would have a sig, but Someone might be offended by it so I will just list characters.
Vicinity, Proximity, and far to many bank toons too list.
-Sorry to any bank toons that are offended by me not listing mine-
    Ravensguard, Ghallanda

UHG... I have been trying to figure out this toons gear all weekend... you know the "If I put this here...Then can put that there..." stuff, and always seem to end up missing something or doubling up on others....

My Stalwarts IntimaTank was easy, there are a few clear pieces of gear that are "musts" and was a lot easier to put together... this.... well. he still has some work... It doesn't help that the cleric ToD sets look like **** for a cleric, and I can't decide on Greater Dev 8 or Exceptional Wis +2 for his ring...

I guess my question ATM: DT armor, Tempest Rune, Efficient metamagic- Empower healing II, does this stack with the enhancement line EHII? My guess is no, but I really would like to be certain, but don't want to give up +6 con (The current planned con place) to test it.

I'll try to help you out:

Helmet: Go for a standard Minos Legend here. Later, you can upgrade this to a +45 HP Mineral II helm, so it'll carry +5 Protection (woohoo!) and Heavy Fort.
Goggles: Get your first Greensteel here. I suggest going for a +150 SP set of goggles, with whatever Neg. effect you want on the first tier (Blind/Disease immunity is a good choice). This'll be your +6 Wisdom item.
Cloak: Start with a Stormreaver's Cloak at the beginning. I'd have this as your second Greensteel item, followed by your Helmet. No suggestions on the greensteel; I'm putting a Neg/Neg/Neg immunity item here.
Necklace: Torin's Choker. Superior Potency VI, and we'll use the set bonus.
Bracers: Bracers of the Glacier. It'll cover your Magi item, as well as the nice little Fire Shield proc that seems to go off constantly. At least for me.
Gloves: Vile Blasphemy is nice, but the Gauntlets of Eternity from the Reaver are much more likely. Possible Greensteel here if you're crazy about it. Titan's Gloves can go here if you're a melee build, too.
Belt: Assassin's Belt from the ToD quests. Proof Against Poison and +6 Con. Really, whatever +6 Con belt you want, I just like that one for the time being. Vorne's Belt (+6 Con, GFL) is perfectly reasonable as well.
Rings: One of these will be the Warchanter Band (+6 Chr, +1 Excep. Str, +2 Excep. Wisdom for your character). The other will be a catch-all. Ring of Djiin and other goodies fall here. Consider your second ring a spot to keep your clickies.
Boots: Boots of the Innocent. +5 to your saves, and your +15% striding.
Trinket: Head of Good Fortune until you get the Abbot trinket. Feather Falling trinket and Underwater Action trinket go here, too.
Armor: Dragontouched Armor. GFL/+6 STR/Greater Spell Penn 8 is my suggestion. Go with your gut here.
Weapons: You'll have an even 38 from enhancements and levels, with this lay out. So, a +1 to your Wisdom wouldn't help. I like the staff from the Abbot (-10% to all SP costs), but this slot is open.

Hope this helps you a bit.

Well, In case anyone actually cares.... With your help, and hrs of thought and 100's of changes I think I have the plan for my cleric gear.

Lymnus: your layout was helpful, as it confirmed a couple choices I had been considering....

    Goggles:GS Blindness ward/disease immunity, 150sp Con/Opp

Necklace: Situational: Torins choker, Dragonic necklace (GH clickie), SF pendant, whatever else might go here.

helm: ATM: Minos (the Extra 20 Hp is hard to give up)

Trinket: Bottle of air, Bat, HoGF, Mysterious Bauble, etc.

    Cloak: Stormreavers Napkin

Belt: Situational: main belt: Vorns. Others Tokalas, Amaras, (jump clicky one), morganas (if Warpreist PrE is worth it) Planner Gird, Haste clicky, etc. etc.

Ring 1 : Gnawed ring: Str +6 Exceptional Con +1 Upgrade Exceptional Wisdom +2

Gloves: Gauntlets of Eternity until I can craft GS HP gloves of Con/Opp.

Boots: Semi situational: ToD boots/ Striders /Firestorm Grieves

2nd ring : Still open... Not sure anything yet on this one.

    Bracers: Glacial assault Vod bracers

DT armor: Eldrich +5 resists, Tempest +1 Exceptional Wisdom, Sovereign GSP 8

This is the part that had me going in circles for days: Main hand/offhand. Initially, he was planned as a S&B melee Capable cleric but with only 1 weapon. To get the TWF feats will take a lot of work. So for a while I was looking at shields and which ones.... and debating should I go GS offand instead... So finally settled on

Main hand: khopesh of whatever: Usually vorpal. Even with lousy to hits, and confirms, he will still roll a 20 from tie to time. and since offensive casting will do far more damage anyways...

Offhand: A GS dagger with +6 Con, +1 Exceptional Str, +2 Exceptional con, +6 wisdom , Con/Opp.. ( redundant +6 Wisdom, but it opens a slot now, instead of waiting 15 more shroud runs)...

Of course all of this is subject to change at any moment... on any whim...
