I read around that there is a feat called monkeygrip in AD&D that allows the use of two GS. Is this feat desirable here at DDO?
It does not exist in DDO, but people have been clamouring for it for quite a while. Personally, I would still TWF khopeshes, though.

Monkey Grip does not let you wield two Great Swords
Monkey Grip will allow a Human (Medium creature) to use a Large sized Weapon (A Large Longsword for example is 1d10 like a Bastard Sword, not 2d6 like a Greatsword) not wield a Medium Greatsword in one hand with a second in the off hand.
Of course since all weapons in DDO magically scale to size.. It's rather pointless..

From what I understand, monkey grip actually allows you to have a greatsword in your main hand, but not a second in your off hand, or rather monkey grip has no effect on off hand whatsoever. Of course, the only benefit of monkey grip in pnp is as follows:
Benefit: You may use some weapons one size category larger than normal in exchange for a –2 penalty on attacks.
A greatsword isn't considered a large weapon normally, unless you are considering it to be a large longsword which is 2d6, not 1d10 as was mentioned above.
Incorrect...
It is like saying a great club used by a troll (large creature)...well now you can use it. It is in Complete Fighter and Sword and Fist. It is not that great of a feat TBH. This is one of those "I WANT IT TO MEAN THIS SO IT MEANS THIS" feats. Like "Weapon Finesse" allows me to use my Dex bonus to hit AND for damage. Which is common for house rules...but not actually how the rule/feat works. I mean you could want Oversized TWF mean that you can use 2 handed weapons (greatsword, greataxe) in each hand. But what it means is, you do not have to have a Light weapon in your off-hand.
ALSO give us Spiked Chain!
The difference there being that DDO made up the Greensteel material 'effect' and defined it as that (and also used it to balance upwards the damage of dwarven axes and bastard swords to compete with khopeshes better). 1d8->1d10 is +1 or +<25%. 1d10->2d8 is +3.5 which is more than +50%. They definitely weren't intending to be similar to PnP's weapon size increase (which is roughly equivalent across weapons). I'm glad they're doing something to keep the khopesh down, but I'd love to see it just disappear sometime in the future, . Because it's broken!
