    Default Cometfall or Mass CMW?

I'm going to TR my wizard into this caster FvS. I plan on using the Amrath clickies instead of lorrik's III for my devotion.

But, I run into a problem... I only have 3 lvl 6 and 7 spells! I can't decide between cometfall and Mass CMW. So, the way I see it, I have two options:
    1. Take cometfall and cure serious wounds mass
    2. Take CMW and symbol of stunning.

I've duplicated the spell list below for easy reference:

    Spells:
    Code:
    1) Bless, Command, Cure Light Wounds, Nightshield
    2) Cure Moderate Wounds, Hold Person, Soundburst, Resist Energy
    3) Aid Mass, Cure Serious Wounds, Prayer, Protection from Energy
    4) Freedom of Movement, Holy Smite, Restoration, Shield of Faith Mass
    5) Cure Light Wounds Mass, Greater Command, Raise Dead, True Seeing
    6) Blade Barrier, Cure Moderate Wounds Mass, Heal
    7) Destruction, Resurrection, Symbol of Stunning
    8) Cure Critical Wounds Mass, Deathward Mass, Symbol of Death
    9) Energy Dragin, Heal Mass, Implosion
    Any advice is appreciated.

Have you considered using scrolls for raise dead and resurrection? It would let you keep the Symbol and pick up Cometfall and MCSW.

myself and most fvs i know drop mass cmw in lieu of cometfall.

this will leave you enough room for 3 masses and heal mass if you choose. more than enough imo.
I am roleplaying. My toons are zergers.

The problem is in tough places, I'd like quickened raises. I could subsist on RD scrolls, but I'd prefer to keep quickened resurrection as a possibility.

I'd take MCMW. Cometfall fails to inspire me much. The knockdown is...occasionally convenient, I guess. But I'd rather toss a blade barrier and leave them on their feet so they can shred themselves.

If Cometfall had a fort save so I could use it against evaders...then we might have something. But it doesn't, so I see no need for the spell at all.

another point to consider is that mass cmw is affected by sup potency 6, which means it will be your best healing mass cure as long as you don't activate the clickie. (ok, mass heal heals more, but only 6 targets and it's slow). this is the reason why i'm using mass cmw

Yes, MCMW working with Sup Potency VI is another powerful incentive. You want the Potency for your BB and Heal anyway. Use the amrath click when you're breaking out MCSW and MCCW in hairy situations. Potencied MCMW is plenty for typical groups. Even better with maxxed out FvS Empower enhancements, and a Skiver (Empower only uses 7 sp under those circumstances).

depends on your build and what you like to run.

at lvl 20 with only maximize turned on, my cometfalls hit for over 300 and crit for over 600. And considering that he's a WF wisdom based FvS, he likes to wade in while they're down with a greatsword and manage the last few HP.

I strongly prefer cometfall over blade barrier for soloing or normal content. About the same for hard. Mobs just get too much HP tho on elite and epic (not to mention saves on epic) to make casting this spell worthwhile at all.

For something like farming runes in reavers refuge tho, comet rocks. no need to drag all those casters around the map into blade barriers when they start out bunched up in packs anyway. An aimed cometfall before they aggro takes away 80-100% of their HP, then one melee swing while they're down and done. For prey on the hunter, it keeps the giants on their butt.

I'll b swapping my FvS over to str based sometime soon tho, as most of his offensive spells are lackluster in epic mode, and a wisdom based WF doesnt have enough to hit to melee in there. I'll b dropping cometfall then in favor of another mass cure; that spell will truely be the one thing I miss most about being a wisdom build

@ OP Go cometfall. Love it. And honestly I'm only using mass serious, crit and full heal as I generally only run with max on. The moderate with max doesn't heal the plethora of wf i run with well enough for my liking. I think it's important to have one quickened Rez in the spell book. Failing conc. Checks in tight situations is not fun.

@ blacksteel. Sounds like we have near identical builds. And I'm hearin u on ur points. I'm loathe to give up wisdom as my main stat. Have u got the SoS yet? That extra 5 will be massive. That and instead of changing to str based I'm gonna tr 3 fighter past lives to make up for the too hit. That's me as I'm only focusing on one toon. So that might not be an option.
