Look up my toon on myddo its the sig name of course. The only one of my toons that matters to me. It is an unusual build but it does exactly what I built it for. The thing is myddo is so shallow. I'd rather you be able to look at everything in my build not just the barest surface. A list of my in use item, saves, hps, sps, fort, dr, stats, spell resistance and elemental resists. No idea what feats taken etc. I suppose I could fill all those thing out if I felt like putting in the work but why should I do that? If I wanted to post my build of course I'd do it on the forums. I wouldn't want you to be able to see all of my items in my inventory but if you are going to judge my build you ought to have my entire build to work with. Otherwise you have no idea what I am really capable of and more than likely even if you got to see it all you wouldn't.
If you declined me because of what you saw on myddo I couldn't blame you either. I don't need you to tell me that I have weaknesses in the build. I PLAY IT. I know exactly what they are. I'm still deciding what to do about them. If you did decline me period though you would probably be doing it because you most likely don't understand what you are really looking at.
Impaqt I got no problems with anyone screening. It's your raid you do what you feel you need to.

I'm of two minds about this. With as many characters as I have (11), not all of them are as well geared as the three or four I regard as my mains, but those characters that are less well geared are still being played by me and when I'm leveling up a character, I'm inclined to take it personally when there's a long pause followed by a Decline.
Case in point:
I requested to join a Tempest Spine pug raid on my TR'd Paladin, Anguirel, who was 8 Paladin/1 Rogue at the time. The leader of the raid was the only one in the raid so far, a 9 Paladin. There was an immediate Decline, which I assumed was a clerical error (how many times have I accidentally escaped from invitations/mis-clicked a Release etc.) so I immediately reapplied, only to be re-declined immediately. Well, I could safely assume that the second time wasn't an error, so I added the individual to my Squelch List (after welcoming him/her to it).
Being as it was a name I didn't recognize, being as there aren't any veterans I know on Khyber who would immediately Decline one of my characters without comment, I inferred that the leader didn't understand the reason a Paladin would take two levels of Rogue (I took them for light Open Lock skills, Evasion, maxed Intimidate, and high UMD), and based the immediate Decline on the fact that I had a level of Rogue.
This individual is still playing, has membership in a small guild on Khyber and managed to get their Paladin to cap not long after I brought my TR to cap. It may be that I was overly sensitive about Declines from newer players because of how many times my Rogue/Ranger was declined for Trap Monkey job searches.
Having provided all this background. . .
Sometimes you're declined for a group not because of how knowledgeable the assembler of the party is, but because of how ignorant of builds/gear/names they are. For the newer players bemoaning the fact that they're being denied experience in Epic quests/raids, patience is needed. As people get to know you (and as you get better at the game), you won't have to ask to be included in Epic raids; you'll be asked to join them.

The victorious strategist only seeks battle after the victory has been won, whereas he who is destined to defeat first fights and afterwards looks for victory. - Sun Tzu
This is just funny, and sad as well. You know what other game has people EXACTLY like this? WoW, stop acting all big and bad over a game...is it going to get you anywhere in the real world hell no, in fact I bet you're a big fat nobody in real life
Ahhh Thame, we meet again. I missed your opinionated, sniping from anonymity, posts, so negative towards a certain group of players and yet attempting to stand on such lofty soapboxes.
If you took the time to read, and or think about the OP, he is not the evil powergamer you would like him to be. He is merely trying to enable people fearing the my.ddo.com look-me-up. Such players can alleviate a lot of worry by taking a more critical look at their builds. But, as you have a particular axe to grind I suppose you are not much interested in giving the benefit of the doubt where a power-gamer is concerned.
I have always found it interesting that some of the most vocal opinionated vilified so-called power gamers all feel self confident enough to not hide behind anonymity. Yes, I realize that this pixeled world has no real life importance--and yet you made such an effort to voice your opinion here.
Anyways, welcome back Thame. Hope you enjoy the game, and the accompanying my.ddo.com lookups.
