I just tried to set up DDO on my wifes laptop.

I loaded game from DvD, copied over the .dat files from my pc then finally worked out how to get netframe v1.1 installed on her laptop (yes its a vista machine) then loaded it up.

Game loaded and did first updates. the launcher was the bit that got its update and had to restart - all fine it seemed.

after restart the launcher locks up as soon as it comes to the part where it needs to check files etc. that whole window is blanked out. I've tried the link for running in vista and looked in the FAQ section, but cant find any gems to help.

vista is up to date and things seemed to be running smoothly, but now i'm totaly confused as to where to go from here.
ideas would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
