    Ok I have herd numbers all over the place. But I want to know what the real life numbers are not crits. say for instance level 17 barbarian dwarf frenzied bezerker with full axe enhancements +4 metelintine ga of pure good beating on harry. What kind of numbers should I be looking at. No warchanter. Dont remember my strength but it is pretty much maxed out.

    Using a non GS weapon like you've listed here, I'd guess about 45-50 per non crit hit. It's still hard to make a good guess since you haven't listed other buffs you MIGHT be using, such as GH.

    Thanks dont really remember if gh was up. Was my first time in shroud on anything but a cleric. I was just kind of suprised by the consistant high numbers. How much of an increase would a min 2 make?

    A big one. At level 20, a frenzied barb with min II, barb rage, rage spell, madstone rage and scourge choker rage should be hitting for 70-80.

    Even with nonGS weap and no bard, thats low, Greataxe should be closer to 60 for a non-crit average:
    55 = 11 (base +4 weap) + 23 (40 str while raged) + 10 (PA) + 4 (weap spec) + 3 (frenzy) +3 (PG effect)

    That's about right for 20 barb with minII Greataxe:
    71 = 18 (base +5 GS weap) + 25 (44 str while raged) + 10 (PA) + 4 (weap spec) + 7 (frenzy) + 12 (holy/acid effect)

    Oh, gh has no dam mod, just toHit

    Oops. You're right about the gh part- I was really just stating that I didn't have enough info about what he's running (like PA) to give a definitive number.

    Also, I wasn't including extra damage achieved by pg or acid, I was trying to provide numbers for base damage off of a greataxe.

    Thanks again. Could you please explain the +23 strength modifier? I thought you got +1 to damage for every 2 points you increase strength above 12 or is that just the hit modifier?

    For THF you get a x1.5 on your str modifer and x2 on your PA mod.

    So for a 40 str (40-10)/2 = 15 modifer x 1.5 = 22.5 damage.
    PA is +5 damage / -5 toHit with one hander, the damage is doubled for THF, so 10. If you take barb PA enh you can get another 6 damage from PA, giving a total of 16. As Newton pointed out, it is unclear if you have those enhancements so I just left your PA at 10.

    Ah starting to make more sense now. I had forgot about the 1.5 modifier and really dident know where all the damage was coming from. BTW im pretty sure I was hitting around 55 average but not being sure where it was all coming from was scratching my head a little bit.

    60-70 base number on the Pit Fiend with a THF, and you're doing your fair share of DPS...
