A vorpal effect is to naturally sever the head off of a creature on a confirmed critical. This usually kills it. Some creatures, such as undead, are pretty much immune to the effect.

Silver cords for astral travel are almost invulnerable. You may be thinking of the Silver Swords of the Githyanki, which can sever astral cords.

Uhm... actually, Assassin III already does that .....

I do not see a Rogue STR based but that is MHO.

Uhm.... are you telling me you haven't seen any rogue wielding Quarterstaves or two large weapons (e.g. khopeshes, dwarven axes)? I suggest you check again .......
On Thelanis: Hallelujah (EK wraith) - Jerryrigged Juggernaut (Fiend Warlock) - Sepulchral (Druid) - Chopchopchop (Monk) - Alleyshadow (retired gimped monkcher). Formerly on Keeper : Misericordia (Thug) - Mumbo Jumbo (Battle Caster) - Infernal Can (WF Kinda Cleric) - Halleluyah (Melee Spellsinger).

No, they're saying that a rogue is only a rogue if they are the dexterous sneaky sort.

Which is rather short sighted considering everything a rogue can be.

I'll take that Thug/Enforcer over the really nimble rogue with no health or strength. What are they going to do, flex at me?

I must admitt... I did not read the thread.

    However.

Swashbuckler as a Class would be great.

the Swashbuckler could have Duelist and Dervish as two of its PrEs with Duelist focusing more on Defensive (with some offensive capabilities) and Dervish sacrificing some Defense for heavier Offense abilities.

I'm not sure which PrE for the third, but I'm sure someone can come up with something.

have it a "pet" option... with built in Blur

    could work

Dread Pirate would be neat as well... though I'm not sure what the bonuses would be in DDO

The Dread Pirate can go either a Good Dread Pirate (Bardish) or an Evil Dread Pirate (Rogueish) route... Going the Rogue routed would be easiest (adding damage)

Shadow Dancer I don't see since the Swash Buckler has no stealth skills unless cross class.

I love the idea however IMHO a PrE for Fighter and/or Thief could be more doable and possible. I would like to have a swashbuckler class....

In 2nd Edition AD&D swashbuckler is a Rogue and Warrior kit so the stealthy swashbuckler is not that far off. Remember Zorro in his night blackops? and foes of the classic swashbuckler usually are stealthy backstabbers.
