    Default Weapon Speed

Does attack speed change at all with weapon choice?

If not, would there ever be a reason other than pure style to use a kukri?

All weapons attack at the same speed for a given attack style. So yes, only for fun would you use kukris.

Well... kukri's are an 18-20 slashing crit range, which makes them the best in the game along with rapiers and scimitars, so effects like smiting and enfeebling work well on them.

Yep, Kukris are top notch for weakening/enfeebling, for smiting, work as well as anything else for vorpal, and are good for offhand radII.

    What he said.

Kukri is an awesome weapon, with optimal crit range, an excellent choice for a slashing character unless you have Kopesh proficiency, which is just a Crazy Broken (tm) weapon to wield.

AH, I never noticed the crit range on them... That makes a lot more sense now, thanks.
