Red dragons scales to large ingredients

According to the Hitchhikers guide, the answer you are looking for is 42.

This is my personal opinion, but I would say 3 Devils for 1 Red Dragon would be appropriate, but I may be off here.

Not on your server, but I think there are two things that make the value of flawless red scales very different from shroud scales.

1. Not everyone will want a red scale robe/armor/docent.
2. Even though there are fewer chances to get a flawless scale, I also see fewer people even wanting them to craft with.
3. Shroud scales will always be in fashion since the items you can craft are so versatile and are considered a staple item(s) on any new toon.

Even if you value them at 1:1. Is the red scale armor really worth 20 large devil scales? I would personalyl spend 10 large devil scales on it. So I think the value is 2:1 (2 flawless: 1 large devil scale)

In reference to the above post, 3 devils for 1 flawless would make that red scale armor 60 large devil scales to make. I just cant fathom who would invest that much for that item.

Right now it may be high, cuz everyone wants to be the first.

But I think eventually you'll see flawless red scales settle down into the 100-150k pp range.

I have to agree, the urge to be one of the first brings a hefty price.

But if you actually see the stats of the Red Dragon Armor, and based it simply on that, then its value is not that high.

How many Red dragon scales is needed? 20 is it?

So even if you traded 1:1 wih Large scales, and we figure at low average a large scale around the market goes for 250kpp each, that means you are spending 5 million plat for the armor. (Don't forget the cost of having dragon armor, white/blue/black, that is needed on top of that)

Yup, something rare is great, but check out the stats, and even at a low low price, is armor worth 5-6 million plat?

Heck, if you go by others at 3:1, you are looking at a minimum of 15-17 million plat. /cheers
