Bard charisma & spells: how to get higher charisma?

I read at wiki:

NOTE: A Bard is limited to casting spells no higher level than his Charisma-10. There is no bonus spell slot based on Charisma, but he receives bonus spell points for each point of Charisma stat bonus. See here for the exact values.

If I have 12 charisma, how can I get more points to cast higher level spells? Do worn items with Charisma count?

if you have 12 cha you can cast lvl2 spells.
if you euip a +5 cha item, bringing you to 17 cha, you can cast lvl6 spells (only lvl6 cause there are no lvl7 spells for bards)

Tomes and items anything that raises your charisma score even pots and spells work!!

So, what would be the easiest way for a new player to get a point or two of Cha? I'm level 3.

take the charisma enhancement, buy a +1 tome from the store, get a + item which is higher then you curently use or buy a stack of eagle potions (or a wand)

What level spells are to trying to cast at level 3? You should only need a 12 cha right now. The +1 cha enhancement would be the easiest.
