    Default custom UI?

Are there any custom UI's for DDO? I played healers in both EQ and Vanguard and both of them had UI's available that included spell hotboxes next to each group members name. This allowed me to put various spells targeted at each member (i.e. heal, panacea, remove curse, etc) that I could quickly cast on the right person without having to manually target them. 1 click healing spoiled me a little and it would be great if DDo had a similar option

    Nope...

You'll need to use F1-F12 (default) to target party members w/o mouse clicking, and use Hotbars + Hot Keys to do actions w/o mouse clicks. The reason many people love this game is because of the action and involvment, not push a macro and let the game play until mob X is dead. Not saying that's what you want to do, just kinda saying that since you referenced "1 click healing".

thanks - not looking to over-macro the game. what I was looking for was just targeted hotkeys to limit how often I had to change combat targets. Sometimes the extra second saved is the difference between a live toon and a dead toon.

While probably not the best solution there are a number of gaming keyboards out there that have macro keys so you could asign F-keys + another key combination in order to manage something like that. So if ALT+1 was always your Cure Serious (just as an example) you could asign Macro 1 as F1 followed by ALT+1.
