    Thumbs down I dont believe this!!!

    its after 7pm, and I am still recieving unable to contact data servers, then it shuts off, and no technical service is available. i have tried the threads as well..

    Flush DNS

    1. Close DDO client
    2. Start button. Run
    3. Type cmd
    4. Type IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS

    Edit Host File

    1. Open your HOSTS file with Notepad. Path is C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

    2. Add the two entries below to the end of the file:


    74.201.102.13 gls.ddo.com
    74.201.102.13 gls-auth.ddo.com

    3. Save the host file. THAT'S IT!

    It may also help to...

    1. kill the client.
    2. dns flush your PCs,
    3. Cold boot your router AND modem. By cold boot I mean turn off power for 5 minutes
    4. wait for reconnection to the net.
    5. try the client again.

    I'm surprised I've yet to see anyone mention part 3 sense the servers came up. But then with so many people complaining here and there... who knows.

    Yeah this works for data centers, but it dosent resolve the problem with login problem.

    Still stuck at login, and getting weird error after login timeout...
