    Default Ability Enhancements help

Just not sure on the function of the ability enhancments. I thought and this could be my mistake if you increase your ability through an enhancement it would be like increasing your ability through a level increase. I noticed that my ability scores definitely increase when I view them, however the actual increase has no effect on any of my attack/defense/spell abilities. If I increase my wisdom as a cleric through enhancements it causes no increase to my spell points or anything. Same goes for dexterity on a ranger, my base dex should be over 19 through the enhancements as is shown on my stat sheet, but all my def bonuses are as if they were 16 dex as I started. Is this a bug with the enhancment abilities or am I not understanding the ability enhancement correctly? If this is supposed be the correct operation of the ability enhancements what point does it server to waste any points on that enhancment option?

The Stat enhancements add to your bases stat; however if it goes to an uneven number, then it will not increase the bonus (ie, you need to go from 18 to 20 to see an increase in the bonus where as if you go from 18 to 19 you won't).

only even stats do anything for you as only the modifier is useful

having 18 in a stat gives you a +4 modificator, increasing that to 19 wont do anything. only at 20 your multiplier does increase to +5

if you really have 19 dex but ac, reflex and skills only use a +3 modificator then bugreport it and maybe post a screenshot where we can show you why its working as it is and why it should work that way

They do increase the intended stat, it shows up on your Character sheet as a "feat" bonus.

You'll only notice an increase to damage/SP/etc if it increases the stat to an even number, odd ability stats have no effect.

The only way to raise your "base" stat is with Tomes and level up points.
