The new creatures?? I thought that the dream scourges and the wraith looking things were the evil outsiders(Maybe the spiders??) hmm...I might be wrong though. And I remember fighting alot more humans than the dream beasties in the IQ and especially the Dreaming Dark. Also the Devourer of Dreams is a evil outsider for sure, but I cannot remember if he is hit by ice damage I will have to double check, and depending on what color dream scourge you are fighting, you might not want that ice damage! =)

What other new creatures are there? I guess maybe a few golems in that solo-only quest. Scourges, wraith-things (hehe), and spiders are Evil Outsiders. Reavers are Aberrations.

Right.depending on what color dream scourge you are fighting, you might not want that ice damage! =)

of course my monk is lvl 15 though so his handwraps aren't to exceptional or anything like that.
The 'reavers' are abberations, rest are evil outsiders. I have another pair of GLOB i can use when icy 'heals' them. Also, not a huge thing, but the fire reavers. Faster i can drop them, quicker I'm moving onto the others.
Think i forgot about my +5 GEB wraps, which get a LOT of use lately(Is it just me, or are there more fire elies now? :/)

It is what I thought but I was not sure until the servers came back up.
Icy Burst Damage is ineffective against the dream crawlers and the wraiths. So I guess you should put icy burst on the GEOB if you want it to hit against 2 mobs, Acid and Fire Dream Scourges.

Undead: +2 Flaming Burst of Undead Bane (too bad lots of skellies are fire immune...)
Outsiders: +2 Shocking Burst of Evil Outsider Bane
Others: +2 Holy Burst, +1 Ghost Touch of Weighted 3%, +2 Weakening of Enfeebling
As for ones I want, I would strangle a baby seal for Metalline of PG, as I haven't gotten Devouts to drop yet. Besides that, Paralyzers, Weighted 5%, and Greater Banes would be nifty, but I'm only level 13, so I'm not entirely displeased with my current crop.

Hmmm aside from bane wraps...
....lets see I use:
+2 holy burst of bleeding, with frost and icy burst
+1 acid of 5% weighted, with frost and icy burst
Devout wraps, with icy burst
+5 force of pure good, with icy burst
+2 improved cursespewing of bleeding, with icy burst
and a lil bonus +2 force of greater construct, with frost
I got them all from chests or end rewards, except the hb of bleed, and since the winter games I've been adding cold to like everything lol, I use them pretty evenly, really it's all you need =D
I have some metalline of PG wraps which are randomly generated. Is there a reason not to put Icy Burst on them? Or is there a solid reason to? Having frost on my holy/pg wraps that don't bypass devil DR, I see that frost is immune anyway.
I would appreciate input since the Ice Games are concluding soon.
Well when you add the cold/frost/icy it doesnt take away from dmg, just adds it, seems to be a good enough reason to add it.
It won't work on devils, it's true. Are you using those wraps to fight other mobs as well? If you are, sure put frost on them to make them more all purpose. There are very few mobs that frost heals, so the worst that would happen is it doesn't damage them. If you are only using the metalline of PG wraps for devils then you might as well not waste the money.

I'm just level 7 so far, with a 28 point build and no older characters to finance me.
But I'm doing fine so far with +2 acid handwraps -- they blow away my previous +4 maiming.
