    Default Paladin and Cleric suggestion

I have been playing DDO since late December of 2009 so if there is something like this in the game please forgive my ignorance.

We need a special prayer (similar to a spell) that Paladins and Clerics can use to sacrifice/destroy those religious items we find in those bags that various monsters drop. From a role playing perspective why would a Paladin or Cleric turn over these items (of another religion) to anyone else (especially a kobald) for profit? They would not! They would destroy them or sacrifice them to their own deity.

    Am I right about this?

For so many sacrifices of so many items or some combination of items sacrificed/destroyed the Paladin or Cleric would receive possibly xp, or maybe a buff of some sort.
This would be consistent with any evil item found (weapons) or item in opposition to the alignment of the Paladin/Clerics religion. If the Paladin/Cleric found an evil weapon or magic item it could be disposed of in the same manner.

This is an example of how it could work:

A prayer that is listed with the Paladins/Clerics 1st level spells and is equipped like a spell.

The prayer is used and a window opens up similar to the window that opens at the stone of change.

The item(s) in question are then dragged to the window and placed within and the player clicks on OK.

At that point the item is taken away/destroyed and the Paladin/Cleric is either given xp for the act or an icon/scroll of a buff is placed in the box (similar to how the stone of change works). The icon/scroll can then be dragged to the players action bar or inventory and used at any time.

    Any thoughts on this?

The thing is, the reward from turning in the items you're referring to (Prayer Beads and such) is completely insignificant to gameplay.

In fact, the whole system of collectible rewards is broken in DDO. There's no need to go sticking on a role-playing justified mechanic (and an elaborate one at that) to work around a game system that's meaningless anyhow.
