    Default Solo Platinum/Gold Making?

    Hi all,

I'm currently a level 14 mechanic rogue, and trying to save up to buy greater undead bane weapons (a light mace for skeletons and a sickle for zombies), which are obviously fairly expensive. I was wondering if there were any decent ways to farm plat/gold for a solo mechanic? Just something to do in my down time.

    Darn undead things.

I'm not aware of any good way to farm solo on a non-caster.
What you can do is grinding Desert for named loot until your eyes bleed and your brain hurts.

I dont know about a GOOD way, but I would suggest running loot off a P2P quest series and/or running some quests as a group. Bring your own heal pots, but if there is a cleric the run will tend to be more profitable. You wont be spending as much on healing, just dont rely on the cleric to do all of your healing for you (thats rude and will get you a reputation).

A group reduces the overall difficulty, just dont run a quest like Kobold assault. Run something like WW or irestone inlet on hard. Something that has more than one chest.
The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out. Every mind is a building filled with archaic furniture. Clean out a corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it.

Yep that's the same way I got cash when I was low level and strapped. Drag along a cleric hireling if you need healing, it's cheaper that potions. If you get in trouble, you can easily recall to recharge at the spa. Another quickie chest to run, is the chest at the opening of Xorian Cypher. I cast invisibility on myself (with a cheap AH item) and run past everything till I get to the entrance. Kill all the guys there, loot the chest, hit the shrine and recall out. Takes about 3 mins and it's lvl 10 loot on elite I think. If you have a friend with you, drop group, and reform and run it to ransack. Takes me about 30 mins or so to completely strip it. You won't make a fortune either way, but it's a start

Note: I have not ran the VoNs since the Update, so these may not be valid anymore. Also, doing these loot runs on elite will be more profitable, but more dangerous.

Go in VoN1, Invis (pot, scroll, clicky), run to locked door with chest in it, kill 2 trolls, loot, recall out.

Go in VoN2, loot 2 chests in maze, recall out.

Go in VoN4, kill eles, run past WF to the right, drop down acid pit, loot chest, recall out.

Deleras3 (Solo first 2 parts, or do with group but don't advance past 3 for this), Jump to chest on ledge with archers, loot, recall out.

Gianthold Explorer, go like you're going to PoP, turn right up the spire, kill the mindflayer, unlock and loot chest, recall out.

AC and DPS depending: Offering of Blood. Kill scorp, pick up blood, run north, look for chests behind locked doors as you go. Recall out, or complete.

Desert loot runs are good too, but I doubt you have the gear for it if you're looking to buy GUB weapons.

If you do this one, make sure you check behind the first 3 locked doors as well. FIrst has a named guy with a chest. All three have purple mushroom spots which can drop a Fragrant Drowshood fairly often - these each sell on the ah for 50k gold - 200k depending on your server

Four more collectible spots too at the underwater shrine when you're done with the chests

Hm, thanks for the advice. Some of the quests I haven't seen yet, so I'll have to go check them out, like Offering of Blood, for instance.
