Combat Expertise and Blocking DR

Something just occurred to me, please correct me if I am wrong..

But... It appears that using combat expertise would lower your blocking DR (as blocking DR is an equation of BaB)

Is lowering your block worth he small gain in AC?

Just thought I would ask others who may already be using it.

CE and PA lower your attack bonus, not your Base Attack Bonus. Your BAB is only the value you gain from your class itself. For example, fighters, paladins, barbarians and rangers gain a full BAB (+1/level). The -5 penalty has 0 effect on your blocking DR.

No problem. Questions are what the forums are here for. Well, that and *****ing and moaning and posting funny pics.

Anyway, the various and sundry terms in the game that are similarly constructed lead to much confusion (attack bonus/base attack bonus; character level/spell level; etc...). Not something to feel embarrassed about.
