WoP in Epic?

Does it work?

Is it effective?

Would it be worthwhile grabbing two heavy WOP Picks, place icy burst on them, and then go to town for auto-crits?

Or better to grab two weighted weapons and then switch to high dps crit weapons?

Con damage is worthless in Epics, as mobs are highly resistant to it.

All stat damage done to foes with Epic Ward is reduced by 4 (so instead of 2-7 Con damage on a crit, you deal 0-3, average of 1).

Weighted 5% (or even 4%) weapons are far superior in Epics.

Get 2 wop rapiers, still feasible, but 2 tenderizers work better.

Picks are still an option if you got crit rage, if you dont I wouldnt bother.

Or better yet undust your caster, irres dance or mass hold work great. even mass charm for the little time you get em (36 to save or up shud do the trick). And just go afk while mellee beat on em

WoP stands for Wounding of Puncturing (both weapon abilities) - they used to be the most powerful weapons in the game by far, now they are solid but unspectacular.

PrE stands for (Pr)estige (E)nhancement - enhancements like Paladin Knight of the Chalice 2 or Barbarian Frenzied Berserker 3.

Even if you have dual Rapiers and you have the grandfathered Crit Rage (40% crit chance) you will deal on average 0.4 Con damage per attack (assuming you confirm all crits).

Against a foe with 15 Con (I believe Epic foes have much more), dual Weighted 3% weapons will outperform dual WoP rapiers with crit rage. If you don't have Crit Rage, even a Weighted 2% weapon will be equivalent to WoP rapiers.
