Default It really is time for better tavern drinks

Current drinks look something like this:
    Fleshy Heals: 500 hp/min
    WF Heals: 450 hp/min
    SP Regen: 2500/min

Back when the drinks came out, these numbers were fine, but we need better drinks. When even clerics and wizards can get 2500 sp, and FvS and sorcs can easily acquire it, and any melee tops 500 hp, these low numbers need some consideration.

Sell them only in taverns Meridia and higher - or even put a favour requirement on them!

Blessed Yuguloth Rations: Sold only to the bravest of warriors, the yuguloth make these specifically to replenish their combatants. Restores 750 hp/min.

Titan Cannith Balm: House Cannith uses this balm to repair its Warforged Titans. Restores 800 hp/min.

Meditative Distillate: The Twelve prepare this beverage to serve to their archmagi Restores 3000 spell points/min.

Quori-enchanted Tonic: The Twelve prepare these tonics using the very enchantments the quori used on their ancient warforge vessels Restores 3000 spell points/min.

    I like this idea.

I'd prefer if fleshy and warforged food/drink items were standardized in amounts restored though.
I never understood why the magnitudes were different at times. Warforged also have less variety of restoratives to choose from.
Add a new top tier food and drink item for both fleshies and warforged, and rework the lower ranks so that every tier had both a fleshy and warforged equivalent for the same price, restoring the same amount of hp or sp.

    Shouldn't take much work either.

    Edit:
I don't think there is a need for a favor requirement or a limitation on where it is sold, if some low level player wants to pay a 1000+ gold (estimated price seeing as the best stuff costs around 500 gold each now) instead of a few tens of silver or gold to fill their SP bar up in 10 seconds instead of 1 or 2 minutes then they are welcome to do so, time is money after all.

If the new food and drink are too troublesome to obtain, people would just do what they do now, consuming 2 of the existing food/drink items if necessary.

considering you get full hp/sp when you complete a quest now tavern drinks barely get used or matter, not seeing what the need is.

    /signed.

I'd be in favor of adding a single item that recovers BOTH hp and sp at an extremely high rate, but costs quite a lot of plat.

    Example: Enchanted Elvish Bread
Recovers 100 hp and 300 sp per two seconds as long as you remain in a tavern. Duration 30 seconds.
Time to consume: 1 second (interruptable)
Cost: 5000 gold (modified by Haggle and faction quests, as usual)
Availability: Sold only in city wards that have level 12 or higher as the average level of their quests, or in wards that have Epic dungeons.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

I wouldn't mind another tier to the hp restore item. I have over 600 hp's and have do a couple of consumes (one higher, one lower) after a wipe to get all my hp's back.

You've never been in a raid that wiped and then wanted to go back in and try again? They may not get used a lot, but it certainly wouldn't hurt anything to have higher tiers of drink and food.

Man this brings back memories of me complaining about this about 2 years ago...

Drinks need to be %(Percent) Based.

    Cheap Drinks 5% a Tick
    Medium Drinks 10% a Tick
    Expensive Drinks 15% a Tick

Then have various tick rates and durations.

Cheap Cheap Cheap Drink 5% a Tick, 10 Ticks, 1 Tick every 6 Seconds
Cheap Cheap Drink 5% a Tick, 20 Ticks, 1 Tick every 6 seconds
    Cheap Drink 5% a Tick, 20 Ticks, 1 Tick every 3 Seconds

so on and so forth and some such... DO IT!!

I think the drinks should be a few steps higher than what the OP suggested.....my caster wil have almost (if not more than) 3200 Sp at cap. Id like to be able to finally drink only one drink to regen my mana...someday
