Have you guys noticed since update 3 the huge increase in lag in the Shroud? We've had a few party wipes (and near wipes) where we'll see the clerics hands animting the heals but nobody gets them. Anyone else observe this?

Hell yes absolutely... I made a post about it on the Cannith boards... it sucks
shrouding this evening on the cleric.... hacking away with his big axe, tossing mass cures as need dictated. everything fine, everything fine, hold on party needs a heal. cast. nothing. cast. nothing. cast. nothing. *ding*
but it was laggy just rolling in a pool for mana.
thankfully, dungeon alert fixed lag. so everything I've written here is some drunken anti-fantasy. um, waking nighmare? waking bad dream. waking annoying dream. hot date. dinner with a friend. dinner alone. oggling the ladies in the victoria's secret catelog. sears catelog. *ding*
Over on Kyhber, the last Sheoud I ran, everyone was frozen for almost a full minute while the casters regened in the pools. Could of easily wiped us if we were not taking our time :|
Good thing Dungeon Alert saved us.
Okay - so it's NOT just Ghallanda. Last night wasn't that bad, we'd lost 4-5 people do to the lag-monster but we still managed to beat him with 3 guys swinging blades, last Friday on the other hand we had two party-wipes with good groups 100% from the lag-monster.
They might as well un-fix Harry in part 4. he's not that hard to kill if you know what you're doing but the lag is not acceptable.
Come on now, we all know Turbine fixed this with the Dungeon Alert system
I don't trust anything that bleeds for seven days and still lives...
Been working underlevel on Khyber to get Shroud flagged and noticed the absolutely lagtastic happenings in the quests and slayer area.
Motionless...
*ding, your party member, XXX has died.*
Yeah, it's making things very difficult.
Thelanis is sucking too....
The last two Shroud runs I've done have had people still swinging at Harry while others where sitting at Shrine and looting chests....
Thank <insert deity here> for Dungeon Alert!!
I ran this a few nights ago (for the first time ever....) and I think my character racked up at least a dozen deaths...and on top of that... we failed. Everyone was wiped at the end boss. And this was a very experienced Shroud group I was in. The spotty lag really sucked and made the job **** near impossible to either self heal/repair or give the healers time to do their job too.

Are we better off short-manning the quest at this point? Serious question because who knows if Turbine can actually fix this. maybe remove the blade and make Harry hit harder to compensate? I've not seen this in VoD or Hound.
Ran it on argo on my bard recently, typical one rounder on part 4, 2nd healer didn't run out of juice on part 5, didn't notice much lag. Little bits, but nothing abnormal or serious enough to cause a problem.
Glad I've been avoiding shroud runs like the plague...

This lag is not due to monsters, its due to the swings per second of twf's espeically those with haste boost and melee alacrity.
DA does not adress this lag.
This lag is because you are playing outside the box. Haste and haste boosts should not be used. TWF is only to be used in parties, not raids. If everyone would stop playing outside the box and would buy better computers and faster internet, this would not be an issue. This is you, the players fault. You need to change your fast paced play style and start doing more roll playing. 1/2 the melees should use the /runaway command when aratrekous appears. At least one of the ckerucs needs to use the /castmasshealslikeyouroncrack command. With these play style changes, players will finally be able to understand the intended way the development team ment for the quests to be run.

Every player should submit a trouble ticket every time we have a lag-death in the Shroud. We are paying customers and they need to fix their game.

Will we get the standard tow the party line Dev or Mod response that Turbine fixed lag? Will we hear that hundreds of people on different systems, with different ISPs, in different parts of the world all have the same issue? They switched data warehouse locations, they switched back, they upped bandwidth during peak hours, they added DA to kill zerging which increased LAG that supposedly did not exist because it was fixed. They added new servers, which seem to be the old servers with different names and the same old issues.
I'm calling a spade a spade here folks: They talk a good game but in the end, I feel like after 4 years I am ****ing money down a hole that will never fill. Not leaving, you can't have my stuff, I am just tired of it is all...
We've wiped two days in a row in part four because of lag. What's up with all that?
