Default ok seriously what is it that you are trying to achieve....

by posting every completion of a raid on epic or elite that most of the regular players find as unspectacular. Im not saying that it isnt great that you have beaten the shroud or tod on elite, or that it isnt fun to do the dragon on epic, but seriously why do people insist on posting them here on argo.

I checked on some of the other servers and I didnt see them having this issue. Aside from the fact that posts like those should be in the achievements section, they do nothing but make Argo look noobish in the fact that people post pics and pat themselves on the backs for beating raids on elite that were completed almost 2 years ago on elite (shroud) and 6 months ago on elite (TOD on the test server).

I would like to say congrats now once and for all and hope that in the future, unless you are the first to beat a raid on epic or elite that you would post your favorite screenies on your own guild site.

    answer: an attempt at notoriety

...although personally I think discussing the contents of one's ingredient sack or the distribution of +4 tomes is a much more effective way to generate a reputation

    I agree.
It should be posted under achievements.

But looking at some of the pics and seeing some of the players in those raids....noobish fits most of them well.

I agree that hearing about Hefty's sack is much more entertaining. My sack seems shriveled by comparison. In fact, hefty's sack has probably become so swollen with large ingredients that it's probably time for a reappearance :O

Other noteable ways of getting notoriety on Argo:

Cast Mass Suggestion in The Titan on the warforged minions.
Back-up Chuck Norris when he's in town.
Find the craziest woman on the forums and start discussing kitten-petting after she tries to pick you up in-game multiple times, but upon rejection/lack of progress insists you are a Great Liar per Kingdom of Heaven.
Get into a debate with Mhykke.
Post very unique pictures of emus, goats, or Tatu.
Post a 1-man solo of anything relatively hard and get into a debate with Mhykke, Unbreakable, Alex, etc.
Post anything with the words Hivemind, NHers, Hefty's Sack, Johnson Stomp and know what you're talking about when referencing these words.

I actually agree with this, except that I don't think any particular post will make Argo noobish, and I don't think we should setup guideline on what should or should not be posted, e.g. only the first one is allowed to post. And making 3 similar posts on the same topic is a bit too much. But I respect everyone has the freedom of speech on this forum. You may report them if the message violate any forum guideline, or just ignore them, or give them neg rep if you can.

if most of the toons in the screenshot are noobs, it gives a perfect reason to post. Imagine on argo server, any noob could complete von6 epic. isn't it great?

For once, I agree with Heffty.

This server used to be about Nat gann, Ddoors on chests, and Bromances.

Now its about elite raid completions and epic farming?

    I call B.S. on that.

..... says the person who feels compelled to post about his "sack"

Really this is what you have to gripe about?

It is seriously amazing that people have jumped on Hefty's sack. Do you all really think he was bragging or just playing. Seriously, he plays with some of the biggest grinding loot *****s in the game...their sacks are bigger and he knows it. Drop the sack, it was a friggan joke. Well, Hefty's sack IS a friggan joke...according to Tab

The real credit for completion of those Raids on Elite/Epic should go to the people that completed the epic/elite raids long before the most recents completions.
These raiders have put the time and resources into figuring out how to beat the raids.
To those pioneers of raiding; I salute you.

If this is what people have time to complain about, horrible things like a light bulb burning out must really ruin some peoples' weeks...

    1. Who cares if the server looks nooby? If a couple of posts ruin the reputation of a whole server that morons are reading and reacting to the post.

    2. Who cares if the server looks nooby? Is your personal reputation at stake? Will this keep you from getting dates in the future? Its a game, not youtube videos of you taking a shower or something.

    3. Honestly, cant you just not read them? Its pretty easy to skip past something and ignore it.

To me, these postings are about as annoying as seeing a blue car drive down my street. I don't like blue, but I also have better things to do with my time than run outside and bother the driver about it even though I went through the horrors of seeing it drive by. Honestly people, this game is known for having a mature player base compared to others. Complaining about this issue makes people look small, petty, and implies strongly that they need a life with real things to worry about.
