Quick barb question

Can anyone confirm for me if a FB barb's vicious/greater vicious applies with ranged attacks?

I know ranged isn't the most popular/effective character build, but an elven barb with a level of bard and arcane archer... The thought of a longbow doing 1d8+enhancement+str+4d6(vicious)+2d6(holy)+1d6(pur e good)+3d6(g.b. arrows)+ either 1d6(force) or slaying prop from imbue per arrow, not counting crits, 4 arrows per attack with manyshot, arrows potentially hitting multiple foes with i.p... Just sounds like fun to me, and I enjoy playing somewhat non-standard builds.

By vicious are you referring to frenzy?

Correct - FB = Frenzied Berserker in my original post. sorry for any confusion.

Lol, the party would be SO DISAPPOINTED when the character with the big axe-logo pulled out a bow.

My guess is that Frenzy Berserker damage doesn't work with bows..... but in all honesty I have no idea.

(btw, that extra damage isn't very impressive.)

The viscious part of frenzy does NOT work with bows... but you do get the Strength bonus....

I had a barbarian with 2 levels of ranger. once (He's been TRed).. and I will say that a raging barbarian with the free ranger Bow Strength feat and a silver bow can do some serious damage...

And there ARE places where that is useful (DQ for instance)

When FB was first announced Eladrin mentioned that one build floating around with testers was one which used bows because it would get the benefits of the extra Str when using Frenzy but didn't take the vicious damage, so I would assume that would mean a no

It wouldn't surprise me to see a ranged barbarian running around, was grouped with a character who was 6/4 Ranger/barbarian with a repeater, so anything goes.
