    Question Cleric/Palidin/Rogue 16/3/1?

Wondering if this wasnt a bad idea. Have cleric 5, and was thinking that after I reach cleric 6 my next move would be to add on palidin 1. Mostly because whenever the party fails to hold back the monsters I die quickly. I need a secondary class with melee whose stats arent too different from my "path o healing" (or hand of healing?) so that it doesnt distract too heavily from my cleric progression/stats. Also I really need martial weapon proficiency (sucks to be a dwarf without an axe). The rogue is just something I was gonna do further down the line, mostly because there never seems to be a rogue when you need one, maybe around lvl 10. Any suggestions ideas or words of caution?

What are your STR/DEX/CON? If you didnt spec for melee, multiclassing isnt going to do a whole lot of good.

To MC into rogue you really need to do that at L1 to maximize your skills. You are also a low int/low skill class, it would be hard to keep your rogue skills up. Its probaby a weak fit.

For new players I strongly recommend against MCing a cleric. You are coming very close to the point were clerics shine as casters...a pure cleric is one of the most durable and self sufficient killers in the game.

For now, look to crowd control (command, sound burst) or if you want to melee, make sure you use spells like recitation and divine power to self buff. If you really want that dwarven axe, take the proficiency with your next feat (you will likey get rid of it later anyway, doesnt sound like you built for melee)

General build questions... did you max your wis and give yourself at least 14 con? If so you will be fine in the long run.

    Str is low to melee
Dex is low to for evasion
int is low for rogue skills
chr is low for pali bonuses

    You aren't built for MC

Stay pure with that stat array. You'll make a good hybrid offensive caster/healbot, which is a solid build from 1 to 10, arguably the most powerful character type from 11 to 19, and solid at 20.

When the party encounters a pack of melee toughs, throw a (non-maximized, non-empowered) Soundburst into the fray, and you'll dramatically reduce their offensive capability. At level 9, you get Greater Command which is a generally stronger version of the same effect (mass, short-duration incapacitating crowd control).

At level 11 you'll get Heal and Bladebarrier, and will be able to devastate entire packs of foes with a single BB while healing yourself much more efficiently than you can now.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.
