Can you summon other monsters besides what is given?

Summon monster goes like dog, scorp, hell hound, etc. Is there any other summon monsters for lower lvls? If so, where do you get them?

Nope - you are limited to only what the spell says it summons. So, it's only Dog, Scorpion, Spider, Troll... etc.

Saw one the other day - someone summoned a Blackbone Skeleton. Not sure how. Don't think those are listed as one of the Summon 1-9's. Also, you can summon (create) undead with a scroll or spell with unique component. Options of one mummy, four ghouls, or two of something else (I forget).

Yeah, I don't think my question was said right, not getting my point, I'll prolly have to repost. I mean are there any other scrolls of summoning? I see players in my group who I thought were low lvl like me summoning stuff idk where they got it. Stuff I don't see listed. What up with that?

If someone summons a creature which isn't listed under Summon Monster I through IX, it's just from another ability, class feature, or item.
You don't get to choose what you get with the Summon Monster line.

I do hope that someday they implement the ability to change your summons based on level and/or alignment. Someone said it best a while back...Why am I a Lawful Good cleric summoning a "Hellhound?"
