Party Healing

Hey all, new to the hireling thing and had a question.

Was duoing with my wife last night in Korthos and took the basic cleric hireling in. (Dryad, I believe). I decided to play a sorc, wife is a melee bard (Maybe not best combo, but it's for fun.) The hireling heals me automatically if I get hurt, but it seems to only heal her when I specifically tell it to. Even tried putting it on guard her, it followed her instead of me, but still didn't seem to heal her without prompting. Is there a way to get a cleric hireling healing the whole party without having to do it manually every time?

Hirelings don't have that functionality. You pretty much have to micromanage hirelings if you want to get full use out of them. On the bright side, you can each have a hireling.

And a melee warchanter bard is a very powerful end-game build, though an enchanter will have an easier time leveling.

When I play a duo with a hireling each and they are both clerics, we have only seen a hireling heal their own master on their own. A nice macro keyboard can make it easier to have your hireling heal someone else. Later with Mass Cure's they do better with others whom aren't their master.
