    Default TWF Rogue: Anti-Undead Weapons.

    Hey guys,

As the title suggests, I'm looking for effective weapons against the undead for a TWF level 13 rogue. So far, I've been using vicious weapons because that damage hits anything, and obviously, I'd like to get something better/something that doesn't damage me :P. Scouring the AH/pawn shops for the past week haven't really been fruitful, as the undead bane/disruption/etc. weapons are extremely high priced.

So far, I do a pretty good job against anything I can sneak attack and I'm a mechanic so I do a pretty good job against constructs, it's just those zombies/skeletons that are a problem. The ghouls/wights/gasts/etc. don't give me a sneak attack, but at least my shortswords/rapiers hit them so they go down quickly enough.

    Looking forward to replies .

Undead Bane weapons are the way to go.
Even if it isn't your preferred weapon type, the bane damage makes up for that. As long as it's finessable (assuming your Dex-based here).

Otherwise, get some blunt Holy of Pure Good, or the closest you can come to that. Shocking works on most everything, and flaming works on most undead (blackbone skeletons are immune) as well. And the blunt will cover skeletons, leaving you with only zombies having any DR, and zombies generally aren't tough enough to worry about this.

And getting a Ghost Touch of Pure Good/Undead Bane is nice, as well.

Oh, wait. I didn't realize this was a marketplace thread. Lol, sorry. But look for any of those.

Ha, yeah. I know what to get for the most part, just can't find any of it for a sane price :P.

Ideal weapons come at a premium. If you want cheap, get a +5 blunt and a +5 slasher for your undead killing. If you can afford it, step up to a +X holy, then +X holy of pure good. After you hit lvl 20 on one character, most of the prices on the AH wont seem insane anymore as cash will just be rolling in.

    Cool Cheap Undead beaters.

Believe it or not. Get yourself a holy lightmace . they are pretty cheap and do decently against skellies. Also, see if you can find a sunblade. They are fairly cheap lately, as they drop often in skellie runs. If your having trouble find one send a tell to Dravun or Spuds. If you catch me I could give ya one until you find something better.

Basically any blunt weapon in your price range is a decent skelly beater.

I am a bit tipsy, so if this sounds like crazy talk...um sorry

    Good Luck!

    Ode,

I recommend you seek the following weapons:

Level 6-8 - sunblade or holy burst weapon
Level 10-12 - greater undead bane or disruption
Level 14+ these mobs have progressively better saving throws so try your disruptor but you may find pure dps is more efficient (i.e. holy burst or pure good or some such)
Level 18 - dps is the only way to fly

I have two sunblades I might consider selling and I just pulled a nice shortsword ghost touch of disruption ML12.

    Best of luck.

for then most part....all undead is evil. There are very small amount that are neutral, but not enough to worry about. Simply put. a pair of holy or pure good or preferably both bludgeoners and slashers is all u really need with of course the highest + to hit u can find.

If u don't mind carrying a bigger selection of weapons, than get elemental bursts, but u have to be careful of this, because some zombies and skellies are immune to certain elements...like the Frostmarrows (think that's what thier called) in the Orchard and Blackbones. Greater Undead Banes are nice, but even if u find like a slasher with that suffix, ur losing damage to DR if u use it againt skellies, the same with a bludgeoner against zombies. And believe me, on normal, it's not a big deal, but start doing stuff on elite, and it's very noticable...painfully noticable in fact.

    And don't forget ur ghostouch.

Also I would shy away from disruptors unless ur fighting undead with a bazillion HP's, u are far better off relying on dps than the "vorpal effect".
