Default Monk Two Weapon Fighting Question

How does Two Weapon Fighting work when using Unarmed Combat? You cannot equip to sets of gloves and as far as I can tell it does not give you an extra attack either. Am I missing something? Would anyone mind explaining this one too me? I am stumped.

    It just does...

You won't see extra animations, but each animation will gain extra hits. So you can watch in your combat log you punch once, but you actually get two attack rolls.

You also don't get any of the usual negatives associated with TWFing with Unarmed: no penalty to Hit (others take -10, -4, or -2 depending on their circumstances), and you get full Strength damage on your off-hand attacks (others get half Strength damage on their off-hand attacks).

What rimble said. The way they coded it broke some things for handwraps that you can get for other weapons. Force Damage ritual for instance, and no greensteel handwraps. I am pretty sure I have seen threads that talk about this.

The best basic description Ive seen so far stated that the handwraps actually Enchant the character himself (since your feet also get the damage bonuses). Monks fight with 2 hands ... and their feet equally. Hence the 2wf feats apply to them.

Are ITWF/GTWF as helpful to monks as they are to other melee classes?

They are more helpful for monks who need to attack often

Each Two Weapon feat you take will increase the amount of takes you make. It's very useful in my opinion, especially as certain attacks, like Storm Strike, will go off twice if you're getting two attacks. I have the whole TWF feat chain on my monk, and it's been very useful. In terms of unarmed combat, just consider the handwraps working as two weapons that are exactly the same.
