    Default Green Steel Goggles

Hey guys, wondering what kind of goggles I should make for a raging barb? I was thinking about something that deals damage when I am attacked? such as aspect of steam....maybe something with resis, or triple negative slay living? what would be a great choice?

I am a DPS build, rager....

If you're not going for Tharne's Goggles, then it's a good slot. +45 HP is quite popular, then for dmg guard either Lightning Storm or Disintegration, for trash mob Radiance or Earthgrab, if you want +6 Wis and a few bonus HPs Concordant Opposition, if you don't run with casters Air Guard, and people running Epic said Enervation guard was handy in there. So yes, lots of options.

Since I've had some negative feedback about my above post, let me validate it.

Barbarians want Tharne's Goggles (about 80% of the time). GS clothing should be a cloak probably. That said, I suggested immunity and hp because the immunity item is situationally useful (fighting mummies for instance) and everyone always likes HP. If you were suggesting a cloak, I would have suggested the guard items depending on your DT armor setup.

Asking what to put on GS items is a pretty hard thing to do unless we know your current stats and items.

ok, I gotcha, Not listing all my stuff I see what you mean, I have never even heard of tharnes Goggles thats why I asked, and I see why you would say cloak, because there are goggles out there that can be helpful to barbs, but not cloaks. thanks

dont go with tharnes as your main goggles, stick with gs ones. the sneak attack bonus is meh for a barb who will be holding aggro, so all you'll be getting out of it is true seeing (and spot 15 if youre into that). its very situational, and is only good if someone else has main aggro for some reason - like intimi on sully, and then you throw on your goggles and hit it from behind

of course you could just swap it if no one was there to give you ts, but for me I just use my sand glasses.

I find that in lots of raids you can use the sneak attack as a barbarian.

and thats why its a highly situational item, like I said. I already gave hard vod as an example.

most raids dont require an intimitank, and in terms of something like hard/elite tod, no ac is going to help so you might as well have the barb with high hp (and hopefully high healing amp) "tanking"

if you find youre utilizing sneak attack in other situations, rerooooooolll

here dont listen to me, just take two of the most popular barb builds as an example, and see what they say about tharnes:

    Question

I have a similar question so I thought I'd post here instead of starting a new thread.

I've crafted my first GS GA and have all the ingred for Tier I&II (just missing the small shard of power sigh) and I've also accumulated enough raw ingredients to make another GS item which got me thinking.. I'm not sure what to make. Should I be going for another weapon? I'm more inclined to make a GS HP concordant item. And there's the dilemma. I figured goggles would be the best slot but Tharne's seem great aswell (situationally of course). People mention cloaks but I use my cloaks (and robes) for elemental resists (always have 2 covered with a robe and a cloak) so I feel I would lose a lot on the cloak slot.. So I guess most comfortable for me seem to be the goggles again.

    Any suggestions?

Make a cloak and ask for resists Although it's handy to have some slots for elemental resists on a barb, in most situations it's a wasted slot because someone can give you the resists you need...

I guess I'm gonna go that route.. Keep the most important resist on my robe and the secondary ones I'll ask for. But I always feel like I'm yanking someones sleeve when I ask for buffs, I'm used to being content with blur only

Anyways, thanks for the valuable advice!
