game launcher works, but doesnt load the game.

Im on a win xp machine.  Hp mini 110 to be more persice.  It worked one time but then I added a exception in firewall and then it decided to stop working.  tried uninstall and reinstall, nothing.
I was surpirsed when it first worked, but my character didnt load.
it gets past the choose world part fine, but then it gets a error for a second saying that  DDO is running and has a button saying "bring to front" but then it disappears after a second, but I cant click it.  Tried restart, it isn't something with the firewall, and I tried uninstalling and restarting using the low detail setting, nothing.
One last thing I will do untill I give up, a system restore than reinstall.

It works now, a bit slow but that is to be expected. Needed to change the userpreference.cfg file for some reason, and have the have the login movie to not play. It detects it as already running but now it acually starts up happyishly

(ps, if someone can tell me how to do strickthorugh for text it would be appreciated)
